After the series of unfortunate events that occured in SWG the gaming community has been calling for a new starwars MMO. What I don't understand is why there arn't any companies that are jumping all over this potential 1mill+ subscriber MMO, just a thought... Even if it isn't exactly "KOTOR" there are alot of possibilities that would work for this style of game.

A KOTOR online sounds like a great idea for the most part, really the best part is that the job system is almost there allready. I imagine it would need a bit more tweaking for use in a grander scale, but if the game were to only allow players to be Jedi then it is mostly useable as is. Of course, one of the bigger problems would be deciding what section of the Old Republic to place the game in. They could put it probably before and partially during the first game for a good spot, during the jedi civil war. In both game's theres constant hints at how grand the war actually appeared, so the setting is pretty open for the most part. Might make for an intresting idea.
It's a good day to beleive
I agree....
I am all for any star wars based game that actually resembles the star wars universe. Now that SWD has turned into jedi vs bounty hunter wars It would be nice to have an ACTUAL star wars MMO.

"What's a cocksmoker?"
In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.
The main thing is you wouldn't have all of the main "familiar" characters in the game, considering KOTOR is much, much before all of those incidents.
If bioware were to do an MMO based off of it I would get it for sure. I would probaly see it as faction based to a point. If they gave it a nice skill structure system (not class based) it could easily rule the MMO world.
However I do hope they dont make the mistake of full Player Economy....
KOTOR as an MMO sounds sweet and I do hope they do it or make SWG like it...
That would be more fun then whats around today.

i dont find any links to KOTOR ? who has some infos
mFg Mero
just a small question
why aren't they just undo all the changes and go back to the old formula to get all or atleast some of their old and realy large fanbase??
or at least they can make some servers run the origniel game and some the "new and improved" game
well as you know
fortune goes with the bold
beside they can still open just 1 new server and try it out
It is still Starwars though, and I feel that the starwars name would still have alot of potential if they were to make another SW themed MMO. There are a plethora of interesting things to base MMOs off, but that isnt want tend to make MMOS good - there would have to be some new innovation we havent seen before. Otherwise it would just become another clone of a popular MMO with a different title and story.
He is talking in general I assume about all the starwars games out there that suck
