Anyone like to see a Simpsons MMORPG?

Set in the town of Springfield.

Interacting with main characters...

Could be fun...

In order for an MMORPG to be successful, they need to create many different gameplay options and paths.  I just don't see the possibilties with the Simpsons.

Although the Simpsons is in my opinion the best show on TV, i don't think that they should get into the game market to deeply.  So far their luck with videogames has been bad.  With the exception of the arcade game and "Hit and Run" their games stink.  If they were to make a Simpsons MMORPG i would probably play it just because i really like the simpsons, but i doubt that there would be much to do.

I am so disgusted with this trend it's not even funny.  Hell why don't we go out and make everything an mmorpg.  People wonder why huge games can hit the market and fail, well it's thinking like this that causes games like mythica die before they're even released.  People need to realize that, unlike regular videogames, mmorpgs have to have huge player bases who are willing to come back month after month.  If the Simpsons game had even one eighth the player base that a game like DOAC has, it would have 3 times the population of springfield.

God I mean think about a target audance before you say things like this.  I mean what would it be people who play video games.  Of those people who play video games, the people who play mmorpgs.  Of the people who play mmorpgs the people who are into socailization, (because you sure ass hell aren't going to make this game pvp or acheiver based).  Of the people who dig socailization, which btw make up the minority of mmorpg gamers, people who watch the simpsons.  I mean your target demographic is to small.  Not to mention the fact that you don't have enough content to provide players.

Finaly I have not played a simpsons video game I"ve liked since The Simpsons arcade game, which even that was a knock off of TMNT.

Honestly you probably didn't deserve the kind verbal smack I just gave you, but I"m really sick of this lets make everything an mmo trend.

if it was an MMORPG, then no (but that goes for ANY kind of skin/paint you'd put on top of an MMORPG).

if it was a MMO -RPG then definitely.  could be a fun world to be immersed in.

Not just no, but hell no. Great TV show, no more games please.

    Bartman Meets Radioactive Man

    Simpsons Wrestling

    Simpsons on Wii

    Simpsons Road Rage

I know I'm missing some, but I'm sure you get the point... please no more Simpsons game, definetly no MMO.

The simpsons have a limited cast of characters and no real serious plot to be a successful MMO for adults.

As a single or multiplayer game it might work.

    No.

That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming!

I would much rather see more original settings like Aion and fewer titles based on existing IPs.

    Short answer: No.

    Long answer: No.

How about you scrap the crappiest show on TV-to-MMO idea and opt to have more original sci-fi themed games. Cyberpunk, futuristic, steampunk, biotech. Think Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Look at the cinematic trailers... now THAT is a setting for an original MMO. I'll take anything sci-fi at this point.

    I didn't realize this was necro'd from 2004.

Wouldn't have been so outrageous 6 years ago, so I'll give the OP a pass on this one...
