    OUCH! All those poor members. Some of them must have been already exposed. If somthing like that ever happend to games such as Anarchy Online, World of Warcraft or EVE Online, then it would create a much more serious problem than that.

    I'd imagine it would have little effect. Who'd want to chop and choose between 7 million + accounts?

    On a serious note,I didn't realise the credit card information had been kept safe. That's good; it only means a slight inconvenience for all the players to redo their password,although I'd imagine if any damage was done it could quickly be fixed. It'd be interesting to hear if this has changed anything in the SL commune.

    Trick; don't wait for the e-mail if you are revalidating. Click the 'e-mail no longer valid' link at the bottom after typing your name in for the password e-mail revalidation,and you'll skip straight to the change screen instead of having to wait for the e-mail to arrive.
