Patching frustration

Is it me, or does Codemasters use a really lame patch system? I had the damnedest time patching RF back when that was in beta, and now this.... Even trying to direct-connect with my modem wouldn't patch this beast. They should just have manual patches like everything else.

Anyone else have problems with patching this and/or found a decent solution? I don't have a firewall or anything except for the one built into my network router, but as i said, i connected my computer directly to my cable modem and still nothin'.

    Ive search for other places to dl it but cant find any:(

    Yeah it's taking its time isn't it.Only reason I can think of is the everyone downloading the patch at the same time and that ends in low download rates :(.

    totaly unacceptable patch release

    official download stalled at 1 kB/s (max) , no mirrors, no torrents

    and ppl had to setup their own mirrors and torrents to deal with it
