Hello Looking for something new

Hello..

               I am looking for some suggestions on some rpgs.  I used to play SWG, COH,WOW.  I loved SWG, until they changed it.  The rp was awesome.  COH was fun.  Wow does not have much role players, so I was wondering if any of you can suggest a game with heavy role playing.  thanks much

    WoW has RP servers though - but the roleplay their is mediocre.

    I don't know what state SEED is in right now but last time I checked it's focused on role-playing.

    A game which I still enjoy times to times is Underlight - but it's dying. :D

    First please excuse my english. it is not my native language.

    Yes there are RP-servers for WoW.

    But i think its not very much fun to "emulate" a role-play feeling in a game wich basically is a Action-Game with RPG Elements like World Of Warcraft is.

    I played much different Pen & Paper systems (AD&D 2nd Ed., D&D 3rd, Shadowrun, Earthdawn and some lesser known) and most of the good single-player PC-RPGs of the last 10 Years. (From Eye of The Beholder to RPG-Sytle-games like the UFO series, to the Fallout Series, Baldrus Gate Series, K.O.T.O.R., Morrowind etc)

    And also i played Ultima Online, Everquest 2, World of Warcraft and Second Life.

    As a fan of fantasy and one of this people who didn't like Diablo 2 (I still don't accept this game as an RPG), Ultima Online gave me the absolute best expirience in Roleplaying. It has a unique crafting system. You can have a real job wich gives you a feeling to be a real person in this world. Not just a monster bashing mashine.

    Second Life is to strange for me. Its not a Roleplaying-Game, its a parallel Universe with a lot of porn and freaked people. Interessting for 5 minutes a day but not more.

    World Of Warcraft has a good, fast graphic-engine, and a good interface. And thats everything wich i like on that game. I think this game should be called "Diablo 3D" or "Another Stupid Online Monster Bashing Game" or... uhm I think you know what I mean.... ;-)

    Sorry Blizzard you could have made much mor of this game, but as long the marketing works and the dumb people pay for more and more "monster-bashing-features" your game still can't ever beat Ultima Online (except the Graphics Enigines Potential wich you filled with funny comic-style elves and dwarfs with 3 different heads and 2 haircolors :-))

    Well, I've pretty much played them all, and still am active in SWG. It sounds as though you are more sci-fi orientied. If that is the case then there isn't much of a choice atm other then swg, planetside or eveO

    With that being said, my summation of those three is planetside, ....ads....swg...uhm still bugged and undone new EQ classes insci fi mode almoth its still starwars...(i love star wars so its prob my favorite pick)....and eveO which....tbbh is freaking borking azzzzzz hell......i gave it a 6 month wiz and it just didn't interest me enough to keep playing/paying.

    I'm looking forward to my own since I can't find anything that fills my need atm, and that is Force Of Arms

    .com for the website...but it won't be ready as far as the first stage goes until sometime in 2007..

    I'm currently following Vangaurd.  From what I can tell at this point it has a good RP following.  All that can change come release however.  *cross your fingers*

    If you want pure RP value, aside from the ones you've already played, I'd say MxO is your next best bet. Yeah, SOE, but in most other games, you have to seek out RPers who aren't always welcome in the community.
