Good Deal Or No?

Yes, another computer advice thread, I have minimal amount of money currently and HP has some good deals currently so that is where I found this and could make a few payments. I customized it to a basic level and I want to see if you tech savey people think it will get me by on the following games: Oblivion / Neverwinter Nights / Guild Wars / Battle Front

My main concern of course is the video card as it is intergrated but please let me knowwhat you think:

1GB DDR-533MHz SDRAM (1x1024)

160GB 7200 rpm Ultra DMA Hard Drive

48x max. CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive (48x32x16x48x)

48x max. CD-ROM Drive

9-in-1 memory card reader, 3 USB, audio

HP 17" LCD Flat Panel Monitor

Integrated ATI Radeon Xpress HyperMemory

Integrated 5.1 Capable Sound w/ front audio ports

HP Multimedia Keyboard, HP Optical Mouse

Total $590.00

All integrated cards suck at gaming. There's no way you could run Oblivion with that graphic card, you should get another graphic card if you have a bit more money. And as I know Celerons arent good at gaming.

Maybe you should just start saving and get the PC later?

You do know integrated video cards take their memory from your RAM right? Say goodbye to a small chunk of your access memory. Do not go cheap on the wrong things, I'm 16, I have a part time job and I work for minimum wage. I have saved up for a few months now in order to get a computer worth playing ($1350 Cdn), don't buy something for $600 that you are going to regret purchasing in 3 months,

I would advise on never buying a prepackaged PC. Its not hard to build one yourself, and you can easily get something twice as good for half to 1/3 of the money spent.

True...thanks for the comment everyone...I already priced building my own using  the usual sites and I can put a decent one for around $900.00 (after rebates).  Guess if I buy it piece by piece, it would be like making payments on a prepackaged one.

BTW - Any of you here in the states have anymore favorite computer component sites besides:

Newegg / Tiger Direct / Monoprice

That is old mentality. Big companies these days can offer better deals than do it yourselfers .  The only thing that might be missing from their rigs is a decent video card and that is all.  Big comps like Dell can get good components for alot cheaper than you can get the crappy ones in order to save on build it yourself projects.  It's a different world now than 6 years ago people. Get a decent Dell and buy a medium range gfx card and you are set my friend.

Personally I trust a chinaman with making a computer over these shakey hands :)
