You have a lot of work before you can even set foot in the expansion..don't bother with it until you're ready. As in lvl 50, completed main story line, completed all update additional storyline.

I think the confusion has come around because SE usually do offer a free month with the welcome back campaigns historically with FFXI, in fact i'm pretty sure they've done it in the past with FFXIV..

I think you are slightly confused... Buying the PS4 version doesn't allow you access to the PS3 version - it will allow you to play on PS4 ONLY... If you then decided you want to also play on PS3 at any time you'd need to buy the PS3 version ALSO..…
