Have you though about Secret World? Fun stories and clever puzzles.
Used to play the original. The new one feels limited. Also, despise Funcom with passion, especially now with the Tencent sellout
Unfortunately AoC is on life support, about to be plugged. I enjoyed it for a couple years and the bear shaman was a lot of fun, but can't feel good about playing a game with an imminent expiration date

SWG private server.
Tried, and believe me, I played a lot of SWG back in the day. Now, everything feels terribly dated. Lasted a week on... What was the name... Legion, or Legends, or something like that

I noticed you gave real reasons why you don't want to play the other games on your list, but for WoW you only said you are not…
ESO's combat is too active and can't turret. Not enough skills to make levelling enjoyable (just 6 in the hotbar).
SWTOR: I think it was dead shortly after it went F2P, and everyone just worries about endgame.
LOTRO: played to death and a bit too ol…
Ok, retrying Wurm. In parallel, I'll try to also go back to Ryzom.
Better two small communities in small games than large communities in bad games.
Thanks again!
Thanks for your answer, guys. The search continues unfruitful.
To make it super clear, "my" (the correct?) definition of MMO was mentioned by Lerxst:

Well, I would suggest a survival oriented game such as Salem, Ark, Minecraft. You won't find a MMORPG which sole focus is on crafting since adventuring will be always the core of the gameplay experience.
Anyway, you are really …
