Planetside 2
I don't have much time for gaming lately and an hour or two every other day coincides nicely with primetime on their servers. I get my online FPS and MMORPG cravings satisfied in one fell swoop and the progression curve is so horizonta…
Imo it depends very much on how it's done.
I've been against F2P since the idea first appeared, but some of the recent crop of games have found a model that seems to work very well... and, of course, F2P is more suitable for some games and less so …
Nice....
Battle islands are next and then Searhus, the tropical hell... Tho considering SOE's speed with introducing new content, I suppose we have years to wait yet.
Planetside 2
/shameless fanboy alert
There's nothing quite like it out there, and it's freee! I'm amazed, I'd gladly pay box price AND a monthly sub for this game. I've been waiting for something like it since I've first heard of that new thing ca…
Lack of courage and imagination?
Duh, no it's not a single player game... so what? Real life is pretty much sandbox last time I checked, with 7+ billion concurrent players on the same server.
Meh... they deserve to crash and burn. Damn shame what …

It depends heavily on whether the said PvP is persistent or not.
For persistent PvP, like an ongoing war, 3 factions or more is better.
For single matches, like an individual battle, 2 factions is definitely better.
A simile: Imagine a soccer lea…
Well, you could look at it as "just another zombie game" or as "another chance for finally a good zombie game"... I prefer to see it as latter. There's a million zombie survival games out there but frankly I can't recall a single one that's truly go…

Love Gauntlet but I think I'll pass this. It obviously suffers from a very severe case of south-sightedness, a very irritating malady curiously endemic to this age.

Personally I always find the wide FOV 1st person perspective the most immersive, by a wide margin. 3d person always makes me feel outside of my character, like i'm playing someone who is moving a toy around. In 1st person it's ME who is moving rathe…
I don't understand what's the fuss...
From what I gather, EQNL is more of a game-making tool than a game in itself. If SOE is wise they'll allow players to create their own rulesets for their shards so you can have a PVP shard, builder shard, RP sh…
