I don't find its a lack of creativity in games. Every story has plotholes somewhere. What does it for me is the lack of any community spirit in MMO's or any game for that matter.

The only reason I've lost all interest in WoW's endgame is the sudden shift from Wotlk to Cataclysm in terms of dungeon difficulty. Groups fall apart so easily.. it still happens alot and there was no buffer.

Roleplaying is all about imagination and for a developer to take that into account and add some support for imagination then thats all I ask for when it comes to RP. Gameplay is important, but the players make the game what it is in the end.

It is the consoles fault for PC games being dumbed down to the point where a chimpazee wearing a diaper on its head could beat a game like Call of Duty MW:2 or Black Ops. In any case, because of this I won't be buying.
