I played Neocron for around a year, and agree with everything here, game with huge potential ruind only by the dumbass game staff. The first thing you have to know before you play is ignore anything and everything that comes out of any of the staff…

It would seem you do have to start paying monthely if you get an expansion, if you dont it is free for 1 year. It seems to basically be a ploy to 'entice' new users to try game out, knowing if they really do start to enjoy the game they 'will' buy …

I guess I am just lucky, i signed up on last day of beta registration and got my invite on the morning of the 2nd of january, So far game seems ok, not all it was hyped to be, but not a bad game with decent playability.
