In the end they're just video games; if you can't find something you like among them try investing your time in a different hobby. If it's not that simple to you then I guess you're stuck.

I skip almost all of it, not that I don't like the writing or anything, but I've never read quest text in any MMO and I typically don't play them for their story.

Fixed it, seems like it has something to do with Windows 8, could only get the image to show if I uploaded it from my Ipod.

Pointless thread is pointless, people should play the game(in OB when everyone can try) and not make their purchasing decision based off a single thread.

Race has little to no impact on the game, it's almost purely cosmetic. Sure one race might have a few points up on another but it won't matter in the long run or even the short term really. Play what you want to.

I'd imagine there's a difference between instant gratification and not wanting to slam your face into a monster for four hours just to say you killed a virtual creature.

I now have my refund, it was done without a hitch. Their game may not be for me, but for those that it is for, you'll be happy to know that they're support was a breeze and they're a company that has gained my trust.
