My first MMORPG was Everquest which I played off and on for over one year. Having to quit because of RL stuff, it's been too long for me to get back into it. Wish I could, because I have yet to play an MMO that has topped EQ.
I have high hopes for EQ2 or World of Warcraft or possibly Middle Earth Online.
As a computer science major I have plans to someday create my own MMORPG. We'll see how that goes...

If rather they let you leave the Isle, and say continue on to level 10, and do the class quest, then cut you off, I imagine he wouldn't have…
The paladin has always been ranked as one of my favorites. Beyond that it varies. I've never been a very big fan of playing rogues though in any fantasy based game.
I just started EQ2 back up again because I want to try something new from WoW. I'm still on the isle with my froglok fighter, and what I'm seeing so far is impressive. People were pretty helpful for the most part and it didn't take to long to get …

Again, i would try the real game if SOE would allow me to. But no, i have to actually buy the game and at least 2 expansionpacks to enjoy it apparantly. This isnt a rule its an exception, every other top mmo contender …
You're wasting time, Junior! If you want to code, create, and publish an MMORPG, even one that's going to be a total steaming pile that emulates the lives of gangbangers, then get at it already! You should be out there learning how to get it done …
Sorry to say it (well, not really), but overexagerated character creation systems are highly overrated, and games that have not so in depth methods on making characters seem to be better than those that do as far as playability goes. Yeah, it is ni…
Capturing towns, cities, outposts, lands, etc. would have been very nice, I agree with that. I can't say that the battlegrounds in WoW suck though, because I'm finding them enjoyable.
Even if it is too much like playing UT2K4...
I've played both EQ2 and WoW, and I have to say that I disagree with what's being said here. WoW's community was better than what I expected, while EQ2's was a disappointment. Granted, I was expecting WoW's playerbase to be the troupe of ADD stric…
About an 8 out of 10. It's not perfect in terms of an MMORPG because there is a lack of direct interaction between player and the gaming world itself. However, it is better than pretty much everything else out there.
I got GW after hearing how awesome it was from the mouth of a guy who works at an electronic games store, played it for a week in total. That was all the time I needed to find out that most people who consider Guild Wars to be anything remotely goo…
Flip a coin, I say, all that you're going to lose is $50 if you make a choice and find out if you don't like it or not. You really can't go wrong with either one of these titles. I prefer WoW myself because I get more enjoyment out of it, but I am…
While I agree that NE have the highest population (I play one myself because I love druids but I hate tauren) I have to say that my favorite race of them all are the dwarves.
True enough, they're extremely hard pressed to come out with a game that's going to be true to the lore of LOTR universe and still have it be a good MMORPG. I just don't see how it's going to work, because too many peeps are going to want to play a…

I can say that my experiences with WoW's community aren't as bad as I originally thought they would be, thank goodness. True, there are a number of monkeys who run around on the web who find their way into WoW and f*** up the rest of our gaming exp…
Currently, I'm playing nothing because my #$%#$@ computer is broken. I'm forced to commute out to my college to use their frickin computer labs to check email and browse the web, but no games. Life blows.
EDIT: Check that. I'm currently keepi…
