yes, definitely better. more ways to lvl. more mind blowing places to explore, better crafting system, actually every aspect, apart from naval part, BDO does better.

there is weather system but not in a starter area. Some nice mists in a morning in some areas some nice mist in an evening on some islands. though it does not effect crops. oh and there is storm at sea, sometimes with whirlpools.
