How do you "save" or "hoard" things? Every time I die or log-off voluntarily I come back with no stuff and no recipes learned. What am I doing wrong?

Commanders of Evony. It is new. It is in open beta, where your progress will be saved. They just opened up a brand new world for new players, too. It is sort of like tribal wars, but only newer and better.
