I too was disappointed at the lack of gnomes shown. I'm willing to give the game a chance with all the features I've seen so far, but no gnomes is game killer for me.
I prefer the more stylized graphics, they tend to age better than the more realistic kind (EQ2 looks ugly now!).

I think there should be class restrictions based on race, unless maybe there's a quest-line, that say allows a Gnome to gain favour with Tunare/Karana and become a druid, for instance. Otherwise I feel it cheapens the experience if ever…

Well I can't think of anything more boring than standing around yelling in trade channel. The personal shop idea seems like a good one, means you can go adventuring while your shop keeper sells your goods for you.
