The ultimate mmorpg would simulate real life in a fantasy world*. Milking cows, pubs, darts and cards games at the pubs so you can gamble. Skills...cooking included. Diplomacy skill points that change depending on whether or not other real players like you or not (and in game missions). A place to buff up your character--climbing ropes or lifting weights. The idea that your character wont get too buff...I mean give a wimp a sword, he should be able to take out a big guy with a hammer. Magic. Thievery. Nonformal places that you can substitute for a chatroom. Where the things people say in the room actually appear in a chat box. Rare items. Stuff like that. Tons of random stuff.
I won't play Skyrim right away because I don't have anything good enough to play it on.
One thing I want to step away from is reliance on save games and tips on the internet (like locations of the best items). I also don't want a character that spe…
Skyrim is going to be the best Elder Scrolls game

That should be your second hint. The first hint was the subject of the e-mail.

I've seen Pawn Stars but Storage Wars was way better (they're only playing reruns right now).
I agree with the OP. I don't like Pawn Stars because I don't like all the unchecked tetosterone on this show. Too many tough guys working at a pawn shop I…
Quizzical, I'm starting to think your job involves selling brand name stuff and you just like to tell people to buy a whole new pc etc.
Sure, getting a new pc would be great. And I would like a great gaming pc for when Skyrim comes out. But for no…

You really can't handle a faster video card without upgrading the power supply. Honestly, I wouldn't trust a Dell powersupply at 300 if it said 350. And even if your power supply holds up …
The thing is, I found a new HD 4670 graphics card for $50. It has 512 mb GGD3 128.
The reason I''m asking you all which graphcis card I should get is because I honestly don't know if the difference between the four options I mentioned is big e…
I'm just replacing my old video card. I have a factory built Dell Dimension E510. This is a standard Dell that came out mid-late 2005. Very sucky. The graphics card is low end. The one I'm buying will be high end. It will be pushing the max watts al…
there's a lot of stuff here I'll have to look into.
nice to reminiscence over oldies as well
so does Gothic series let you play in first person or not?
hmm, I just found one on ign called Wizards & Warriors (2000). I'll have to look into it.
such a shame that companies aren't trying to follow in Bethesda's footsteps
single player first-person fantasy-realm RPGs used to be a big thing. stuff like Wizardry VI VII & VIII, Lands of Lore 1 & 2, Ultima Underworld 1 & 2, Dungeon Hack, Arx Fatalis and Might and Magic VI, VII & VIII
Is it just me or has this genre of games really dissappeared from the the market over the past decade?
There was a time when first-person fantasy-realm RPGs were everywhere. It seems like a waste of a good genre not to continue making this kind of…
Now if only they will OVERHAUL the gameplay.
1. Get rid of or overhaul enemy levelling so that I like it
2. Get rid of the need for "efficent levelling" in order to get +5 skill bonuses
3. Find a way to make 1st person melee combat better
4.…
