I'd love it if they stuck to the old gear stat system in UO. You could just wear GM crafted armor and use GM crafted weapons and be set. Those were the fun days.

I just have to wonder, what they will do if people cheat the "gank" PKs system? I mean I can have my friend kill me over and over again, kill him with a different character and collect the bounty. Rinse and repeat.
