I voted no because I have no reason to use such a tool, and therefore the answer has to be that I don't want it. However, that doesn't mean I am opposed to it, and I can see the arguments both for and against such a feature. For me, however, it wou…
The conclusions in the original article don't surprise me. Every game has been dumbed down now to fit the needs of those who simply can't be bothered to do anything for themselves but insist on it all being handed to them on a plate NOW!

LoTRO or EQ2 would easily fit the bill, both can be free to play if you wish although both are best enjoyed with a subscription in my view.
However, the one well worth trying is Fallen Earth, not least because all tradeskills can be undertaken rat…

I think it's more to do with how you play a game than what market the game is aimed at.
I'm approaching 61 and have no problems enjoying EQ2, LoTRO, AoC, WAR, WOW, FE and other MMO's. Some of them are deeper than others but the key for me is that …

It doesn't matter whether someone is posting in support of a game not yet publicly seen because he's a fanboi or because he's a private tester, at this stage the game could still undergo massive changes including reduction of classes, races, cities…
"Which upcoming mmorpg, has the most interesting Dynamic event system, Rift or Guild Wars 2?"
Good luck comparing one game you may have seen the early levels of in beta with another game you haven't seen at all.

So they're basically redesigning the whole game, which kind of lends support to what the critics are saying otherwise it wouldn't be necessary.

I've been beta testing games since 1983 and Rift is the most polished one I've seen in that time. Not perfect by any means, but certainly the most polished and run by the most professional team of developers I've come across in that time. The speed …

1. Take a leaf out of EQ2's book where player housing is concerned.
2. Never have gone F2P.
3. Scrap the blue colour scheme eg on the character selection screen, it's utterly horrid, and fit all characters on one screen.

My only concern really is that so far in 3 betas we are only seeing levels 1-20, ie no more than a few days gameplay for most people. I hope they are going to beta the rest of the levels as well, as it would be sheer folly for players and previewers…
