I actually think that sea battles are the best ones I have ever seen in a game. also you have so many possibilities, it is overwhelming at first, but when you get a grip on things, you realize how much flexibility the game allows you.

@negenelf: so in that case eve would be probably a good choice (if you have also only a slight affinity to space ships. imo it maybe lacks a bit on the gameplay side, but thousands of star-systems should be good enough (at least for me ^^)
true. but I have to say I quite enjoy this: "you slip. you break your neck. you are dead." its a bit like the diablo hardcore mode. but on the other hand also extremely frustrating!!
you are probably right: without "cheating" this game is unbeatab…
