Alive. Lurking.
I pop in from time to time too.
Popped in again....19 years this month for me. I'm closer to retirement now than when I first joined. We're the old people now.…
Looks like ancient is over 10 years. From what I can tell, many of us that started this "old timers" thread were generally around in the 2003-4 timeframe. Probably arguing about EQ, DAOC, and SWG.

Damn, we are getting old. What did I miss?
Not much. I still have fun playing a game here and there as I assume others do also. But with kids that don't really like mmorpgs and such, I guess I'm just getting too old for…
About every 6 months I check in here just to see if there is something really awesome. I'd say reddit or similar have replaced the forums like this now days though.
Until another 6 - 10 months pass...

I agree with the loss of the sparkle, in a sense. I will never again feel fear in a game like I did in EQ1 trying to get somewhere as a level 15ish alone. I will never feel the excitement of the first time I got jumped by a shadowblade in DAOC RvR…
Jumping in to look at the new games list. Still playing some mmorpgs, but now that the community is fragmented among so many games, I don't frequent here much. I'd say the biggest change has been that forums for specific games began flourishing ma…
Another wave at the old timers. I think I lurked for a year too before making an account to post. Mostly lurk here too now days. I find it interesting how different things are yet how much they remain the same. I *do* miss the old OT discussions.
Best to just watch the "games in development" section on the front page.
Word of advice: Participating in a "true" beta as a real tester, not an open beta (stress) tester, is a difficult plight. It takes tons of work, is frustrating due to bug…
I find this scary and exciting. Hopefully the indy developers will get supported by the western markets and allow us to play the games we want without succumbing to the asian mega-mmo's. I'm hoping that we see a resurgence of companies similar to …
Skyrim, Saints Row, Minecraft, SWG Emu, EVE, SimCity, or dare I say: Sims?
If you didn't like EVE, then you're pretty much stuck. There is that robot one.... Perpetuum, but I found it to be a slow version of EVE. Personally, I hit SWG Emu when…
Forgive me, but when I made that last post I realized that I had 2999 posts, so I figured best way to make 3000 would be here in "old" member forum.
Good fun! Best of luck in 2013 to all!
Just go check out one of the EMUs and get over your itch for the game. There are some out there that are doing a really good job of replicating the old game. Heck I play them for fun. I loved SWG, but I wouldn't want an SWG II. Just like someone…

Honestly its ruining every game for me.
So this is what I decided to do. (and tend to do with any game that I enjoy)
1. If you enjoy the game. Stop reading negativity treads - it will eventually effect you and …

Do you mean LotRO? Don't recall warden in Rift.
The water HoT healing class.
There was even a Warden in DAOC
