I sub to any game that I play, even if it's "f2p", because I believe in supporting the companies that make those games and not freeloading.
In the past year, I've subbed to the following games and would recommend any of them:
* EVE
* WoW
* SWTOR

No I do not PVP to me it is boring and just the SOS over and over...
That's a much better description of PVE than PVP.
Not really......So either you die quick…
Yes, I pvp all the time. It's my main activity in any MMORPG that I play. I can't imagine playing an MMORPG without pvp'ing--most other content puts me to sleep after a while.
I started playing computer games on my C-64 back in 1983. Back then, all graphical games were single player (some hotseat was available) . Fast forward 15 years later and online games started slowly becoming a reality. 15 years of only being able to…

Damn it, Funcom. I always think I'm not going to try TSW again until they overhaul the combat, but then... this update comes and I'm tempted to try it out again.
That's weird. One of the aspects of TSW that I enjoy mos…

Just as a final note, I haven't subscribed to any MMOs (or played any F2P MMOs) since 2012 when SW:TOR finally killed MMOs for me. Too bad for you. There are lots of good MMORPGs out there right now. I'm currently s…
I want Bioware to focus on story and MMO elements equally. If I want a good story, I'll read a book. If I want a good story and play with friends, I'll play an MMO. After players finish story content, there needs to be something else to keep them pl…
lol, cry me a river OP. I started playing SWTOR about a month ago too and I'm still loving it. There are lots of other people playing too, at all levels, and I've had no trouble finding groups. Maybe you're doing something wrong?
Originally posted by Shadanwolf I have been playing DAOC on/off since its launch. It shaped my gaming preferences forever. Faction vs faction conflict is THE ONLY feature I must have if I expect to play the game for any extended period of time.

1-50 I did about 40 % of my leveling through pvp. The 60% pve was going through the main storyline quests and doing dungeons with my guild.
I've done my VR levels exclusively through pvp, and it's been a blast.
I've been waiting for this game since I burned out my last C-64. From what I've seen, this modern version looks fantastic, and I fully expect it to recapture some of the magic from 30 years ago.
Originally posted by Aeonblades Well I don't really think a game that requires years of effort to catch up, countless hours pouring over spreadsheets, and generally agreed the worst community hands down in an online world helps him either.

EVE will never, ever be confused with a mmfps. It definitely deserves to be #1 on this list, sci-fi or not.

Elite: Dangerous and Star Citizen are exactly what you're looking for. Both will have space and planetary action.
I'm a backer of E:D, and it looks fantastic in the early beta.
What rut? I'm having a blast! The only "rut" that I see is my ever consistent lack of time to play all the great MMORPGs that are available now.
If you feel the MMO industry is in a rut, it's time to look inward and re-examine whether this genre…
Originally posted by Voqar Now, I don't consider EVE to be an MMORPG the same way that EQ, or WoW, or FFXIV are MMORPGs. It's massive. It has subs. It's online. But it's not exactly the same style of game for gameplay or overall flow.

Originally posted by Ice-Queen Originally posted by sgel DAOC PvP was awesome but there's nothing like that anymore in modern games (Please don't mention Cyrodiil).
No other Mmo has come close to RvR in Pre-ToA Dark Age of Camelot, sadly, a…
