Somehow Black Desert Online has amassed $1 Billion in gross sales. That game is garbage. Why are we criticizing Star Citizen for going boldly where no developer has gone before?

I would expect a ship to operate as it does when it is being piloted by an experienced crew: a bit of skill and a whole lot of mother nature. Does realism matter to me if this is achieved without taking actual physics into account? No, probably not.
This is like posting news that a student of one of your favorite authors has gotten an advance on a novel in one of your favorite genres, but has just started a very rough draft of the outline.

This post is unnecessary. Video games are entertainment platforms that drive profits. The developers that make them, do not make them for this reason. The companies that pay for, however, do. Games studios continue to innovate every year.
I have always been a fan of the node-based battlegrounds ala Arathi Basin. However, my favorite was the three-node BG introduced in Cataclysm, called Battle for Gilneas.
In order of excitement from most to least, with Star Citizen being a moderately excited.
