1. How many real life women play in each MMO?
2. With anime, people consume the genre for 2 years and then leave, is it the same with MMOs?
3. Are a lot of young people joining MMOs? 13-15 years old?

This is already a feature of EQ2, don't think it gets used much though
Yeah, I don't think it works well in third person camera view because you can't see the details very well never mind a face on another character.

mmorpg.com has a forum for Destiny

I know that doesn't mean anything really. From reading around there's at least one place you have 32 players on screen at one time. Many …
Bungie doesn't want to call it an MMO they want to call it a "Shared world shooter."
$325 million in sales the first 5 days. That's the cost of 5 WoWs at 60 million each.
The $500 million announced by Activision was box sales and as MMO players w…

What do I want in a sandbox?
Sand!
Let me build the castles, roads, whatever. Minecraft does this and it sold 10 million copies in North America alone.
With the Unity game engine you can design your own MMO. Severe death penalty? Free for all PvP? No problem. This guy has designed a system to help you calls Orks.

Unity is free but Orks cost like $50.

Everything is better in a good guild including tanking.
When tanking for random groups however, the tank is one of the keystones of the group who has a lot of responsibility. He might need to know the pulls or how to face the mobs. The things tha…
People have different definitions for sandbox and themepark. To me a sandbox is like the sandboxes we used as kids, four boards and sand where you could make castles, roads, whatever.
I like the terms story driven, like WoW versus player driven li…
If I join a free to play MMO, I don't mind if paying customers look better than my character or have better toys, but I do mind if they can buy a better chance to win at PvP or do better at raiding.
Don't all new games suffer from too many servers at about the 2 month after release mark? You have all those players who just play their free month and then quit.
Long as Wildstar stays at 200,000 subs it's a success, IMO.
Star Wars Galaxies was losing 10,000 subs a month to WoW. The devs panicked and launched two patches, the New Game Enhancements and the Combat Upgrade, in combination these two patches killed the game.
I don't think you really can blame WoW, but if…
The best f2p games don't make the free players feel too bad about it. Maybe they don't have access to a certain class for example.
But being forced to use poorer graphics, I don't thing that would work.
