Performance issues this far along the games history are a result of the initial design/coding/tools. No amount of hardware can overcome a poorly optimized design.
A gem of a title, so many good things to say about it. Yet very long in the tooth. I wish them well. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the old Turbine devs.
I may be just a small town country dungeon runner... but that is my only problem with the game. The constant requirement to do dungeons to advance the story line. While they may be great dungeons, quite frankly the mechanics break my brain at times.

Re-subbed recently after years away. Lag is a thing.. but more than made up for by the community and the still-impressive environments. The game is fun to play, and hits that spot for fantasy adventure with a laid-back play style.
