This looks like a non-p2w Runescape. From what I've read this is a passion project, so there's a chance it'll actually be good. Looking forward to trying it.
I saw a game called Ethyrial featured on there that kind of looks like a mix between Runescape, Tibia, and UO, if you can imagine that lol. I tried it and wasn't disappointed at all. So glad events like these exist. I need new games to try.
This was such a good game during its prime. I enjoyed just about every aspect of it. You could build your character just about any way you wanted. Can't really find much of the same freedom to spec anymore in more modern MMORPGs.

I just started playing today. It's a FF RPG in MMORPG form, and I think that's how it should be approached when played. I have a steep learning curve ahead of me, but I'm looking forward to it.
While it's not "my style" of MMORPG (hardcore/sandbox/combat), I'm open-minded enough to anticipate it. Why? Because it does what every other MMORPG fails to do and that's create a sense of a second home and belonging. I can tip my hat to that.
