The idea that something has been created, removed then sold separately is a curious mental fallacy. By this logic every NES game that didn't put in 4k was deliberately withholding it for extra money but just never got around to selling it.
In real…
It's a balancing act between using skill and aim and timing to achieve a hit and using stats earned through gameplay. When action isn't feasible we insert complexity via formulae. Since MMOs began blurring RPGs and action, this complexity has become…
I've never even cared enough to notice. The only reason I can name a game with locked genders is because I read an article complaining about it. It's just one of the hundreds of choices that developers make that I either enjoy or don't, take or leav…
I know I played FF1 on NES but I suspect there were others in the DOS era (whenever that happened in my home I mean, doubt we had cutting edge stuff).
Remember Terranova and Eternam for DOS but they aren't RPGs...
Ah that was it. Castle of the Win…
Heavily dependent on the game.
In Factorio I'll look up the more complicated stuff because I'm not a freaking engineer.
But in RPGs I never look anything up ahead of time because the characters wouldn't know how to navigate the dungeon or beat t…
Eve is an odd case for me.
Crafting resources flow easily and cheaply, so the "minigame" becomes "will i actually use this many" vs "can i sell this many." More of a balance game.
For me the efficiency maximizing aspect of planet um... mining was …
I'm not yet decided on this one, i think I'm okay with either.

For me the most frustrating part of the gaming community, aside from the hackers and griefers, would be people who don't seem to comprehend the marketing materials and game FAQs. I admit there was a time when I suffered from t…
Consider me to have complained about the fact that there is no option on the poll for me despite the fact that I can easily imagine an other option.
Gaming wise I think my circle is complete. These days I can barely sink a few hours per week into m…
Interesting how OP mentioned gender locked classes alongside graphics and gametype, as if it were of comparable importance. I seriously doubt most consider it so.
As a dendrophile/druid-wannabe, a quality natural environment is foundational to my immersion. Not sure why you'd think this is rare, everything you describe and more is in Ark, and surely many other games.
In fact I was just pondering hiw Ark's cl…
Angels Fall First on Steam is the only spiritual successor to Dust 514 I've found; high TTK, full scope of vehicles (4 wheeler to battleship), and varied game modes (territories etc).
Not sure on avatar choice or progression.
Matches have huge pla…
