I don't get why you think mouse and keyboard should be the default controller for every game just cause it is on PC? Do you play sports games like NHL and Fifa with mouse and keyboard? Or platform games? Racing games?

Most MMO's are ancient and could use a clean slate to start from, as an example world of warcrafts gear looks awful thanks to the foundationals of the gear system having been made some 20 years ago now and if they'd change it they also have to chang…
I don't see how it's a dumb move, seems like the best move they can make. No game is cheat free, the game has no competitive side so cheating isn't so serious in the first place so banning is unnecessary and if someone wants to cheat and just blast …
full f2p is too vulnerable to botting and hackers and usually comes with extremely obnoxious cashshops since it's their only income.
Full sub is good but only if you have that one game that completely pulls you in for years.
B2P with a opt…
Im about 50 hours in and still quite far from completing it, guessing i will be landing on 100+ hours unless i get tired of it but so far I haven't.
It's the first game in quite a while i can play for 2+ hours without feeling exhausted/bored a…
Using AAA games that were considered having good graphics at the time, 10 years ago or so is about minimum before graphics are going to start having a negative impact on my enjoyment of a game.
The old subscription model is dead, the one where you either paid the sub or the game was entirely inaccessible and that was it, nowadays practically every game that has a sub also a f2p/b2p option or perhaps more accurately the sub is the option, a…
I believe a score should for the most part represent something objective, naturally you can never do a fully objective review. But anyone that would give say, the witcher 3 a score of 5 or below should probably not have a job anymore.
In my mind a …
I think MMO's that try to cater to all different groups by fragmenting them apart is at least one reason to what is slowly killing mmo's. Over the course of WoW they have increasingly fragmented players into tighter more specialized self contained g…
To my knowledge the only IP Arenanet has is Guildwars, so it makes sense to assume the game will be related, but it could also be a new IP..
However given that NCsoft recently raided Arenanets offices and booted out like over half the staff whi…

I found the live story meh at best. Also being forced to keep up to the content a drudgery. I get later they let you play it at your own pace if you paid them cash. Funny as at first I loved the game. Not a 100% sure where they …
GW2 to me as it's main pillars is a game without never ending power progression, a game with a focus on a world that is more then just a sightseeing tour while leveling, a 'dynamic' living world as they say.. and lastly a 'grief free' experience at …

How this thread has 4 pages not trashing the topic of the thread baffles me.
Because despite hyperbole and illogical statements there is in fact something to what the topic says.
The never ending que…

I think you guys are vastly misunderstanding the situation; If Limit and Method can't do it within 2 weeks, that means that no Mythic guild is going to be able to do the raid while it's current. That's not intended.

They shouldn't advertise it, just do it and why not also arbitrarly add 1-2 minutes extra to any matchmaking, and throttle the cheat server with occasional intended lag spikes.
I always thought GW2 was a step in the right direction for AAA MMO's, away from the wow model.
But it was just that, a step, nobody really picked up on going further. Hopefully GW3 will.
