I created this account with the intent of exposing what seems to be fraud on MMORPG.com's behalf. Prior to my registration, Age of Conan's beta forums were flooded with critical messages. The game is trash, essentially, and something near 2/3 of the forum's total posters--nearly 100% of its regular posters--felt inclined to point this out. Two days ago, between 17-18 May 2008, ALL critical threads regarding AoC vanished, leaving only praise. On 19 May, MMORPG.com PLASTERED Age of Conan ads all over its front page and banners. The game's rating also jumped from around 7.7 to a 9.0 literally overnight.
Though I cannot instantiate proof of fraud on MMORPG.com's behalf, the circumstantial evidence is very powerful. It is my opinion that, lest MMORPG.com correct these gross errors, that you as faithful readers of these forums take everything you find here with a very powerful grain of salt. AoC's current status here is outright false--and it is my belief that MMORPG.com knows it.
