waite... ok recently i got WoW, i wanna try out EQ2 now, however one of my standers are community. It has to have a bustling, populated, talkative, nice community. So now i hear EQ2 is dieing? is this true? is the game and community dieing?

JUST FOR EXTRA SUPPORT/DECLINE I POSTED WHAT I WANT IN AN MMO:

  • EXTREAM! charecter customization. hight, gender, race, proffesion, eyes, nose, hair, skin, ears, body, color, extesive extensive extensive. I want a variaty in armor, and wepons. So that evreyone has a style.
  • a decent ammount of quests, and lvling. 70+ for levl. 35+ for quests. I want a fun end game too.
  • MINIGAMES! come on guys! get real! i want mini-games too! runescape has the best mini-games in the world. belive it or not.
  • rading. PvP. GvG
  • SUMMONING!

lol. No it's not dying. That's a sign of the desperate who aren't getting an easy go around like you do on wow and aren't getting their butts kissed.

EQ2 will never die.  It'll go down in history like UO, EQ, WoW etc...  EQ2 is a strong game with a wonderful player base.

From what I SEE, in my surrounding, EQ2 seems to be rising.  This is not representative, but from peoples around me, either at work or friends, EQ2 seems to be, slightly, on the rise.

Personnally, I am happy in "single player games", these nazis enforcers are finally getting me to go play, away from them.  image

I agree I don't think that EQ2 is dying.  I haven't played in a while but I think EoF expansion will not only bring back a lot of us older players but bring in a fresh crop of new players as well.   And consdering that more and more people have finally upgraded their machines to the point that they are able to enjoy EQ2 graphics engine better, I think this will only help.

My guess is, that when the EoF expansion is released with all the previous expansions and the original, EQ2 will get a minor/medium burst of new players. Ain't playing myself, so I cannot really tell...
