Played AO in beta.. Played it throught he buggy launch and a few years after.. play it today in a freebie account. It is still, to this day, the only game aimed at adult, mature people with a character (Second is EVE, but thats a ship. Both Scandinavians, says a lot about mentality of cultures) People talk about Vanguard as "hard and a challenge (followed by a ton of insult aobut WoW)" Well, thats how it goes when 11 year old kids decide what constitues a challenge. they would not make it above lvl 20 in AO, they would not know how to build an implant set, or craft a gun, or heck, even equip a new weapon of good quality. I hate these new kiddie games, like EQ II; Vanguard and all the other junk where the developer predesign your character, his skills and his stats, and you are only a spectator as he move towards the top levels. You just walk him around, the developer decide what he should know, how good he should be in it and how he would behave against an enemy. You dont PLAY MMOs nowadays, you move around a developerdesigned preset path.

So yeah... People dislike AO... Say what you will about graphics, its a lot better than most games of that time. But if you dislike the actual game, then its because you are too much of a Vanguard fool that cant get out of a wet paper bag without the developers holding your hand. This is pure player control, YOU decide what your character can and cant do. I know that is too much of a challenge for some people, but says a lot about you, your mental flaws and your short attention span.. and very little about the game.

It should be thrown with great force"

The graphics were poor, but character creation was decent. I actually played this for about a week. Sorry for the mix up. It is funny how defensive people get on these sites. Does anyone actually work?

Well you clearly dont.... Run around the internet, and start accounts on sites just so you can start throwing monkey poo around you about things you dont even know anything about.. This makes you feel good? Toss some monkey poo on things make you feel like you know what you talk about? Must be the first time i your life...

Lets see. Your posts... You trash in order:

EVE online.. bad game, and terrible PvP

    Anarchy Online... sucks

Star Wars Galaxies Pre NGE.. Really bad, lots of problems, no SW feeling.

Anarchy online, trash it again, because it really need to be called junk twice.

Anarchy Online, Ok so stupid you cant even trash the correct game.. so you start to insult all the people in MMORPG.com that just said you have no clue what you talk about.

Faces of Mankind. First time you actually hit the nail on the head. Problem is, ANYONE semicompetent and with a minimal knowledge of MMOs knew this before it was released and without even trying it.. Its a garage job. Garage jobs dont work.

So thats what you do... You start an account on an MMO site so you can run on every game you find and say how mcuh it sucks. Then you walk in and start bragging about "I have played online games for twenty years now, I have experience" Yeaaaah.. A guy that trash everything he sees and dont even know what game he talks about seem very experienced.... You are a load of uneducated, uniformed trash, that feel important as long as he throw his monkey feces around on everything he can see...

Get a flipping life will ya. Here you only look like a fool

I have been playing online games for twenty years now. I have enough experience to know what makes a good game and what does not.
Twenty years of online gaming experience eh? thats impressive, as to my (i suspect rather limited) knowledge on the subject UO is the oldest online game that could possibly be relavent in todays standards and that, i believe, has just had its 10 year aniversery. Grats to UO btw! although i have never played it ( have played ultima 5,6,7,8 and serpent isle though and they rocked in their day. 6 was the best)!

Ahh to cast my mind back 20 years..... I think i was playing Lazer squad back then on my amstrad cpc6128 (with disc drive no less!) im not entirely sure the internet even existed back then.... humm cant remember.

But in resect to your oddly sweeping statement I find it somewhat lacking.

AO is in my personal opinion although i dont play it any more, a great game.
