Finally heard from Themis
FYI...I sent an email to <edited by Admin> two days ago explaining that I was one of the contest winners and have not heard anything recently about my beta account. I gave them my name, email address and name that I signed up for the ebat with... and I received a reply just now:

I have contacted Nevrax to activate your account. I'm really sorry about the delay. You should be able to play Ryzom within the next 16 hours. If you have any problems let me know.

I will update this post 16 hours from now to let you know how I make out.
Admin Edit: Themis has asked that we not have you all contact this address. Please be patient - your betas are being processed and harassing the staff over there will only make it worse for everyone.

To be honest I simply asked about the beta account that I won. Nothing was mentioned about the other 499. You may want to try to email them....include your full name, email address and beta account name.
Think I might wait a day or two to see if they send the rest of us an email. Be kinda of pointless to send of one tonight to get an email tomorrow. But if nothing happens I will probably email them.

Early April could mean anything from 1-15 in my eyes. So i dont know where everyone is getting the 'we only have 2 days of beta testing to do' from....

Just a quick update:
I received a email from Nevrax this morning welcoming me to Beta 2. It included my login and password for the forums and chat client. Only issue was that I still dont have the game! Forum says it will be shipped...cant be downloaded. I went into the chat client and was told of a download. Went to try to downlad it from the link and my beta username and password do not let me download it. I have emailed the CEO of Themis back on this.

I got my beta info email too... downloading the client now.
Make sure you use an actual FTP program to download... just clicking the link in the email won't work because it'll try to use IE to download - and they expressly say that IE won't work for it.
I'm really psyched to finally play!

Yeah I got an email saying that my account was ready to be activated but they were having some sort of delay getting the beta installer together.
I've got the download going now. Seems to work OK (tho only getting 27k/sec)
I'm using a real ftp client tho, so maybe that is the difference. I'd suggest downloading something like wsftp or some other client with auto-reconnect. That way you can just let the program get in to the site without all the babysitting.
Still no word
here is the one themis sent me.. not nearly as promosing as the 16 hour one. i hope this comes soon

my download started at 14k then went up to 15 after I was disconnected. I got it going again and ...disconnected! Aiii!

Won't work. You'll need a real FTP client.
My download got up to just over 400MB and I got booted. Guess I'll have to wait until the ftp server gets back up...or until I can connect again at least.

It took me about 3.5 hours to finish the download using FileZilla. That was earlier this afternoon and I haven't had a chance to try it out until just now. Keep checking that FTP site if you still haven't got in yet. I do believe the email said that it will only allow a max of 50 users on it at one time.
