Closed beta and the mmorpg.com Mega Holiday Giveaway

in Age of Conan: Unchained

Hi, I'm one of the guys that won the Age of Conan Package (Beta+Retail+Sword+Comic) thingy on the Christmas giveaway. I've read that here that ‘Age of Conan’ is currently in closed beta, and since the "open" beta should supposedly be open to everyone, I was wondering at which stage I would get to play the beta.

Thanks in advance for the answers, and sorry if I'm asking something dumb.

    B.) AoC is currently in an inhouse closed beta stage, as of right now only Funcom staff are working on it.

    C.) They stated that sometime "soon" they would announce a signup process for people to get a chance at entering the new out of house closed beta stage

    D.) One can only assume this is also when those who won a guaranteed beta spot are able to gain entry.

    Yeah, well, I don't usually win stuff so this was certainly good news. Tbh I wasn't _that_ interested into the game until I won, but now that I've gathered some info I'm definitely looking forward to it. What I need is a MMORPG that's different from all the crap that's around nowadays, and AoC promises to be just that.

    Anyway, thanks a lot of the answers, and good luck getting into the beta. ;)

    Did you get your sword yet?  I got mine and at first I thought it was a hate mail explosive (I'm not used to getting international mail)

     I too won that prize package. I got my swords (There were 2) and my comic about 3 weeks ago. I also got an e-mail saying that that I also got a spot in the beta and that we would be contacted when the time comes.

    I had to demonstrate to my girlfriend a couple moves from "300" using the inflatable sword I won. Can't wait for the beta invite.

    Beta Application is LIVE !

    Beta has been going for some time already and it seems to be about to be opened for the "Outsiders".

    Did someone that won the "Holiday Giveaway" get any E-Mail or information about our prizes ?

    If not, i do hope we are in the "first waves" . . .

    I won the beta contest from their newsletter [got all the goodies] and havent heard a thing. I think were all looking to join technical beta if we want the early build. I cant wait to try it out, im going to report like crazy for this game, they seem devoted to it.

     Agreed. IReport all bugs thta you can, and hopfully they'll take you back for next phase of beta.

    You guys will get in as we slowly add more people to the beta. And it will be before we see a "open" beta. I am not sure what the time frame will be but don't worry we are almost there.
