In open beta I noticed that when I run while holding down right mouse button (i do this _everytime_ I run in an mmo) when I stop I lose control of the camera and it shakes around and looks in a random direction. Apart from that there are no breaking bugs to my knowledge. For me a Gamestopper is the lack of pvp... I guess that a plus to some people though. Its a good game and is so much better than VG its like its cheating or something :-P.
This game is not for me but it deserves to do well as its extremely well made.
the movement made my wife violently ill after about 15 mins of playing, does that count?
? ? Do other MMORPGs have that effect because the movement is the same as any other MMORPG or FPS for that matter. Unless you went in and clicked align camera to slopes in the mouse settings, which is off be default.
well, she's played EQ, WoW, EQII, and Vanguard, dabbled in a bunch of others and this is the first game that she's had that reaction in.....

This is a known problem actually. If you search the official forums you'll find a fix. There's a config file you can edit that adjusts the turn/roll speeds. Apparently the person in charge of motion sickness checks steers with the mouse so it went unnoticed until open beta. Only occurs when you steer with the keyboard.
Icons hovering over questgivers heads. It's totally unrealistic and ruins immersion for me. I feel like I am being spoonfed like a baby.
You can turn those of in your UI options.

LOL!
Let's assume you are being serious, you "can" turn OFF the quest icons. Just go to Options and turn them off in the UI.
Where is the switch for turning it off for everyone? It defeats the point if I change the rules just for myself. That kind of advice is the same as suggesting killing your character a few times each playday if you want a more challenging game. The point is the game is designed too easy and I feel like I am treated like a child. You can't just change that type of environment by creating a harder ruleset for yourself.
I guess I should have read further...
Why do you care how other people play the game? This isn't a competition, but it seems your ego needs that when you play the game. You want others to suffer so you can feel good in your 'leetness.
Yes you can change the ruleset for yourself. I do it all the time because I only wish to challenge myself. I turn off all icons, I often attempt quests that are higher level, I wear items that look good on my avatar and don't min-max. The game is designed for flexibility. I'm sorry that you're so used to hand-holding games that you demand LOTRO do the same for you at your comfort level. Personally, I don't need the game to hand hold me, and thus I find my own challenges.
