Lets take a look at the problems, mistakes and poor intelligence the US had in World War 2.  This is a great read and parallels the Iraqi war to some respect.  I found this very interesting and informative.  I personally didnt know all the screw ups in that war.  There were many, but we pulled it off, sometimes at the expense of many brave Americans.  Take time to briefly read this article.  It really opens your eyes.

    Quote:

Like Hitler, Saddam Hussein was a mass-murdering fascist, whom we had also appeased for years. For all his bluster, Hitler had not been in a prior shooting war with the United States, but after Pearl Harbor he had to be destroyed. In the same manner, after 9/11 there was no longer any margin of error in "boxing in" a rogue dictator that had struck four nations, violated most of the 1991 armistice agreements, ignored over a dozen U.N. resolutions, butchered tens of thousands, ruined the environment of Mesopotamia, constantly tried to recycle petrodollars to terrorists, attempted to assassinate a sitting U.S. president, and was in a stand-off with the U.S. Air Force involving 12 years, 350,000 sorties, and the control of two-thirds of Iraqi air space. Indeed, on September 11, 2001, American military forces were being fired on and firing back at the forces of just one nation in the world: Baathist Iraq.

I'm sure that makes the Shiite Arabs, along with the Irans, very happy. Unfortunately, "Dubya" should remember that he is not President of Iran, and that US foreign policy is not written in Tehran.

Immediate US withdrawal and let the Shiites and Sunnis tear each others throats out. They will be so busy killing each other over the proper way to bow to Mecca they will forget all about the US. When they finally finish, and remember about us, then we can finish the winner off.

I don't give a rat's ass (especially a big rat's ass at someone's workplace) about peace, democracy, or anything else in the Middle East. It's all about US security. They will sell us oil, and we will sell them the weapons to kill each other. Don't think this is anything new to them, they've been doing it for centuries. Who are we to stand in the way and tell them they're wrong?

Oh, by the way, everyone knows that Dick Cheney is the anti-christ.

I've said this before that people who state that Bush is either the second coming of Christ or the Anti-Christ are giving far, far more credit than he deserves. That man is neither. He's just a plain old fashion boob that has bamboozled those who are still gullable enough to believe either one of these arguments. Incompetence is neither divine nor satanic so Bush isn't also. He is only a severly flawed man who, as President of the United States, is in waaayyy over his head. If it wasn't for his handlers and spin doctors, his true nature would have been availed years ago and he and his co-horts would have been expelled from American politics years ago.

    Live long and prosper.

that stuff about george bush is really quite funny, ridiculous but funny. personally i'd take any chance to bag out george bush because he's a fag nothing more but prehaps something less. im sick of helping a delusional president fight a war not to protect his country but because he wants oil. hes a freak and oufctrl where the hell was your "glorious nation" when australia  had the japenese on thier doorstep i ww2. america has lets us down far to many time and so i say no more help for america cause they don't help us our men are dying for your president and you give us a handful of crap in return.

I've always thought of Bush as more of a chimpanzee or orangutan by the way he talks and acts.

Outfctrl do you support Bush because its patriotic and he is the president and deserves respect no matter what? Do you think people who don't like Bush are unpatriotic and are borderline terrorists and need to be investigated? Or do you just like him because of his views?

It is ashame the way some Americans are such short minded as to have already forgotten about the tragic day of September 11, 2001. Our country is at war for our children's future but there are those who have already forgotten and want it to be like it was on September 10, 2001. We will never be the same country after that day and I believe there is only one person and one party that will make this a safier country & future for our children.  George Bush and the Republican Party!

I support him for his honesty and his approach to securing the country and carrying the fight to the enemy. He has the courage to confront reality and fullfill his primsary duty as Commander In Chief of defending the country.

As far as people who dont support him?  That is their perogative.  This is a free country and you have the right to your views.  I dont condone in name calling or disrespect.  He is our president whether you like it or not and he deserves the respect of all.  If I were younger and able, I would be in Iraq right now.

omg george bush is intrested in the oil not the protection of his country. he got a reason to attack iraq because the terriost attack on america sept 11. you are just a s delusional as your president. as for respect my great grandfather deserves more respect than bush. my great grandfather fought in ww1 and contiued his serive off the field in ww2 he fought hard o protect his country but george bush sits behind a desk doing nothing letting his ppl die in a war that he has no reason to fight. i actually wonder how long itll take him to work out that hell never destroy the entire terriost industry.

i say to u now that next election chose another president for george bush has lived his post he has made to many mistakes. maybe the next president will work out that the nuclears warheads all over the country are the reason teriost are attacking baecause they want a bloody nuke war.

stop living in a dream and think straight.

take what you can but not what isn't yours. "fight to the end and never give your enemy the satisfaction of victory"
