Question...

Alright I see theres already a thread for this but we are on opposite sides of the stick. I keep reading posts and this game just keeps jumping out at me. I bought the game along time ago when it first came out and for some reason the economy was broke or something and I never looked back (was playing neocron 1 back then). I dunno it was like a kick in the face a game based on the economy and it was broke from release. K I know its fixed now and I want to play (really for the pvp). First off im 21 I have my own house and I have a kid... yeah I grew up fast but whatever... lol. That being said do I have time for this game? I have a great job that doesent take that much of my time (real estate). Its just I dont want a huge time sink of a game. I like the fact that you can log off and still skill up or whatever its called.

Also I hate playing games online when I have no friends online to talk to in it. I think thats my reason for quiting most mmorpgs of today because I just cant find that groupd of people I like. Always some ass I meet or its a cool group of people that quit later on and you never hear from them again. So another question is there a friendly community? Easy to get into, make friends with blah blah blah.

And what class should I choose I wanna make money. But I love to fight people. Oman I seen a pic of a huge ship and I just pictured myself piloting that and I couldnt get over it. Are those fighter ships? Or are they somekinda trader or whatever? But  honestly I just want someone to talk to and guide me through this game.

there are a LOT of 20-something young professionals in eve, so I doubt youll find it too hard to find people you like. I suggest you immediately join the corp "Eve University" on starting the game, and then move to a lowsec pirate corp (im sure someone in eve-uni can recommend one). Eve is a fundamentally social game, so finding the right corporation to fly with is essential (dont start your own, join a fairly big well established one).

With regards making money, there are a million ways. Personally, I enjoy 0.0 exploration, salvaging in PVP, and scamming. Again, join Eve-University to get proper guidance.

Figure out how to get your woman to play too...  Then tell me how you did it.

That is the only thing keeping me from playing right now cause, as I've said in a 100 threads before, EVE is the best MMO on the market right now (imo of course).  She just can't get past the whole spaceship only thing.  Maybe by Rev III i'll be able to talk her into it, till then it's WoW and maybe PotBS when it hits.
