What MMO do you think is under-rated.
I think Neocron is under-rated. Its the most awesome sci-fi mmo I have seen. The grafics are a little dated . The class system seems not so restricted. The world seems vast. And theres so much stuff to do around the city. And it even has its own Ingame internet on your computer consle in your apartment. I think people can become mayor of city's(I could be wrong), I walked into city hall, there were meeting rooms and offices. Yet it is all empty. It would be amazing if 1000 people were in the city... The game has so much potential. Yet...No one plays it.
Not even me. The game needs people to be fun.
Oh...Post a picture of the game you think is under-rated.

Neocron was one of those games that always intrigued me. I just could never get fully into it because of the lack of players. Also I have no idea what it is like now, but when I tried it there was really wasn't much for helpful information to get a newb off their feet. I had no idea where I was going or what I was doing. Maybe I missed something?
My pick for an under-rated MMO would be Rubies of Eventide even though the graphics are very dated. They had a nice class system, large world, an interesting mix of real-time and turn-based combat, and it was free. It wasn't the greatest but I bet with updated graphics it wouldn't do to shabby. I never made it far due to the reason that a lot of MMOs on this list will share, a lack of players.
I think I'd say Ryzom. It has so many cool features - my favourite being the ability to create your own attacks and spells. It just didn't get very popular due to the sandbox nature of it, which leaves most people just standing there wondering "what am I supposed to do?", and usually quitting once being told "whatever you want".
The only reason I really quit it was because my friends did. I still feel like playing it, just not alone.
Honorable mention goes to Eve, which has up to 35.000 concurrent users and still being one of the most hated games out today. I guess it's not really generally underrated, more disputed or something.
CoX for me. There's a whole bunch of good ideas that aren't being emulated because the game wasn't a gigantic hit. A shame.
A tale in the deseart. I did the trial but didnt feel like paying. I think the game desearves a much higher rating do to the fact you do what ever you want and it envolves something no other mmmo does. the world is completly dependent on the player. if the people in the game dont build saw mills then there would be no wood in the game. theres no npcs to sell you any it all comes from the player.
Ryzom definitely. As the poster above said, the only "problem" with the game is that it is almost completely sandbox. Nevrax added some tasks [the usual kill x of or gather y of] and a few lore quests, but it was too little, too late. It appeared at the beginning that there was going to be episodic content ala Asheron's Call, but the Devs just couldn't put the content out. If I weren't so cheap, I'd still be subbing
In particular, the kitin [pronounced kite-in not kitten! Y'know, like the material that composes an insect's exoskeleton <chitin> in US English-as taken from Greek, I believe]. Anyway, as I was saying, in particular, the kitin invasions were incredible - the GMs would keep spawning wave after wave of them to attack a city which players would then flock to in order to defend. The best mats for crafting are only available in PvP zones -that's good or bad depending. I never guilded and was only ganked in the Prime Roots, as they were called, a few times - I'm not sure how the outposts worked, I had left after a year which was still 6 months before the outposts went live iirc. The graphics would easily stand up to anything out now - VERY pretty game. No classes, an unique "create your own" spell/special attack formula - stanzas, I think they were called, soloable and groupable,...just an all around great game - IF you had the imagination to handle the sandbox.

Neocron is a horrendous game.
Most underrated.....I would partly agree with Tale in the Desert, it is definetly out of the box thinking and deserves to be recognized for it.
City of Heroes/Villains, yes definetly I am surprised more people dont play it. Game really tried to do alot of things different and suceeded. Sadly being the first means making alot of mistakes but I think they rebounded pretty well and showed their dedication to the product.
Ultima Online, it is becoming underrated I think, and kinda has been ever since EQ sucked the life and imagination out of the mmorpg world.
Lineage 2 I think is underrated by the western audiences, largely due to the grind.
Dragon Raja? huh huh?
C'mon people, if you played it you know it's underrated! It used to be really sucky because of cheaters, but it's still a very fun game, specially with the new official servers (which are almost hack-free). Too bad it's way too old, I guess. But old Ultima Online fans will probably have some fun playing it, even nowadays.
