I got a free trial for this game from this site and i absolutely love it. No it doesn't really do anything new, but what it does do it does very well. The fact that the game give you a feeling that you are actually doing something and participating in the world of Middle-Earth without making me feel like I constantly have to play is amazing. I'm a senior in college and I don't really have the time that most MMO's require, so LotRO really appeals to me.
What I really want to do is be able to log in and play when I can and not worry about it when i can't. I want to play the game a leisurely pace that keeps me slightly behind where the developers are so I never have to sit around waiting on new content. Which brings me to the point of this post. I really want to do the lifetime subscription thing. One of the guys giving out referral keys mentioned that the first ten people that he refers get into the founders club and can purchase a lifetime subscription. So I guess what I'm asking is can someone give me a founder's referral? Or it that's not possible does anyone know another way to get a lifetime subscription?
My email is brainchild64@hotmail.com (yeah I know its a ridiculous email but I've been using it since i was in 6th grade)

I just registered a bit ago and it had the lifetime subscription available for $300. I _was_ a founder originally, but I let my account lapse. The original founder price was $200, so I _think_ they just raised it to $300 for non-founders (which I'm not sure if I am or not since I let it lapse). I can send you a referral to see if it helps.
Ah, just read this:
"The first ten (10) Guests who are invited to participate in this Referral Program by a Customer who has special Founder pricing terms may take advantage of the Founder pricing terms also. Please visit www.lotro.com/founder for more information regarding the Founder pricing terms."
So I suggest a real founder do it since my pricing isn't the founder's pricing.
Well that pretty well solves it. I may give in and just pay the $300 but I'd much rather get the discount. So if anyone in the founders club can give me a referral I can guarantee that I'll but the game and you'll get the free time from the referral. Maybe even a bonus as I'm planning on getting the lifetime subscription. I don't really know how it works.
@OP I'll see if I can get this to work.
edit: It says you have already been invited.
In America I have bad teeth. If I lived in England my teeth would be perfect.
try js370@evansville.edu
I already tried the game on the other account. This is just to try to get a discount.
Meh. Don't buy the lifetime sub, do the $9.99 monthly, it's better and safer. You don't know if the game will be around for at least 2 years, and you don't know if you'll play for at least 20 months or whatever it comes out to equal the total.
Sorry. Just had to warn ya.
I've thought about this for quite a while and so long as the developers keep putting out content at a regular pace, I will keep playing this game. I intend for it to be my casual game when I'm either too busy for a real one or waiting on a new one. Either way with that plan buying the lifetime subscription makes good sense. It'll only take 13 months to pay off the game(thats at the single month price but even at $10 a month its only 20 months but that price also requires large commitments) with gameplay and I'm sure I'll be playing for all of that. Coarse all of this require me to get into the founder's club. Otherwise I'm stuck spending more money than I have either way.
