computer problem

to the point..

 

I tried to plug in a second monitor to one of my computers and now i can't get any display.. even if i plug in one monitor only.. any suggestions?

Life is a sexually transmitted disease and it is 100% fatal.

    1) Reboot the PC, do you get a splash screen? 

    2) If not, unplug both monitors, turn off the PC.  Plug in one monitor in port 1, turn on the pc. Did you get a splash screen?  If not turn it off, unplug, port 2, start again. 

    If this doesn't work, you have to pop open the PC and remove the video card.  try reseating it and then turn the PC on again.

    If that fails test it with another video card, when it starts up set it to "last known good configuration" by using f8 at boot.  Then turn off the PC and put the old card in to try it again.

     

    Let me know how it works out for you!

    Thanks for the quick reply.. I did what you said and still no splash screen.. no display at all

    just tried it with the video card out and there was display
