Anyone know why my computer doesn't have USB drivers?

rmk70rmk70 Member UncommonPosts: 408

Hey ya.

Just got a new computer, and I'm trying to plug in my USB devices, and none of them are loading. I tried searching for new hardware and looked tried to select USB but it said USB drivers not installed.

Anyone know where I can download the USB 2.0 drivers? I have an ASUS P5N-E SLI motherboard. Thanks

    Missing chipset drivers.

Do you know where I can get up to date chipset drivers? Like a download page?

I just reinstalled the chipset but still no luck on the USB. Any other ideas?

    I'd probably RMA the motherboard.

I'd check the BIOS settings and ensure your USB ports are turned on. Your OS should have drivers for USB 2.0 built in. Sounds like either

A: the USB ports are disabled in the BIOS.

    B: the board/ports are faulty.
