How many people do you think are playing now? image

I was one of the beta testers for Planetside upon its release. I played the game for about 4 months after it was released and had a BR 20 CR5 TR on Emerald. After I kept hearing, "Nerf this and nerf that!" and "Their side has too many people because their weapons are the strongest!" I got tired of it and ditched the game.

So I was wondering how many people are play now that an expansion has come out and probably several patch nerfs.

    I think it's something like 50000 people now.  I saw it on a website somewhere a couple weeks about but I can't seem to remember the link right now...  A friend of mine used to play, but he stopped after the expansion came out cause he said it was getting way more laggy.

    Expansion really brought some lag with it along with other patches  (most notable when they Finally took those silly Christmas hats off of us) for some reason it really lagged bad after that.But things have settled down after now (provided that you do some of the suggested tweaks on the official forums)..They have merged the severs down from 4 US to 2 US so during prime time you will often see 3 conts locked up and I think the conts hold atlest 500 people a piece(not sure but its a close est). The crys for nerf keep going out but I dont think the devs are listening though, they are looking into buffing the TR some (exp the maxes since they are horrible since the AI and AV swap) but thats all there probably going to change in the near future.... I will give the devs credit they keep pumping out updates to keep us happy.. The new battle islands which will be comming soon and the new stealth plane look like they will bring a new twist to the game.

    Alot of people still play far more then any other Online game that has been out over a year that I have played... Which includes AO, EVE, Neocron, Horizons, EA, AC2..
