Ive played for several months, and have friends who have quit, been forced to quit who have spent massive amounts of cash and time on this game. IGG DO NOT RESPECT PLAYERS, customer service is <poor>, they will use your credit card like its their own, they will delete, change with no regard to your place as a client and player. Ppl are dropping like flies off this <badly> managed game. It's a Chinese money grubbing game tha has no morals and the people are <extremely rude>.

1) Notice that he has not asked for my account information.
2) The total effort in trying 'NOT' to be of assistance and running from any smidgeon of responsibility or work?
3) This continues with about 30 more statements that I did not protect my account... he asked for my account after I told him he should. I play from home, I do not share and I have a good antivirus program that is paid monthly for. Not much more you can ask from a player. Not like I'm going to contract the CIA to protect me while I play VCO.
After a lot of fighting a letter from the be all and end all IGG. Sounds promising...
Hmm geniuses, told me the login areas were local... and that the characters were deleted. I didn't know how much more thankful I could be for the groundbreaking information given by IGG. The thankyou for your support and understanding was going to be the end of it, so I wrote back saying 'you are stating the obvious...'
This is the final reply from IGG. They deduced with that our accounts were deleted, it could be the work of hackers, one possibly from Australia and another far far away overseas. But they're not sure who 'He' is... but they do know it is a male. Then a thankyou for ur support and understanding, the link provided is a forum page that incessantly goes on about how any incident of players accounts being deleted is a total mistake on behalf of the player. Considering that most people do not play or grind their asses to a certain lvl to delete their own accounts, don't share or engage in illegal activities - this is rather <bull>. Any other company that has had their webpage hacked or worse still (if my suspicion serves me correctly, someone who has the power to delete and carries out their threat) someone maliciously deletes another's account from within, it is the responsibility of the company to restore that person's account especially since so many people put credit card details over this website, it'd be scandalous if that certain company couldnt guarantee something as simple as a game account.
This just shows how poorly IGG take care of the game, it's players and its ethics. I hope you don't delete this straight away Neji. lol.

All I'd say is that if still enjoyed the game, but had problems with GM support and the amount of cash you spent, then try Bounty Bay Online instead. There you'll pay a monthly subscription of $15 and the rest is free. There is no item mail or any unfair advantage by paying extra money. The game is set up for advancement by merit only so all those lovely extra items are won through quests etc. The support from Yusho who run the game is excellent and they even participate on the game forum. There are now many VCO refugees playing BBO who now know the difference between the two games.

Im playing for about 5 months, didn't spent a single coin in the Item Mall. If u don't want to spent money and still need high lvl stuff then u buy it from other players...it's not that hard to make money in the game. Just create more then 1 account and let them work for u.
And yes...i think the support is at a very low lvl but almost didn't need them.
Btw, people that buying a lot of stuff in the Item Mall are not realy hardcore...bit cheap imo.

I bet you would enjoy BBO more. It is a very similiar game being from the same sftware developer, but without the item mail and bad GM support. There are now more and more players coming accross to BBO. BBO may be based in Europe, but now a lot of Americans online. My Guild Leader is from South Carolina, so the game is pretty international across all continents.
So give it a go, the Client is free download and you get 10 days free play. The subscription is only about $15 a month, which is average. You will never need to pay anymore.

Yes, do that. I would however suggest trying BBO which is managed by Yusho who have bought the licence to run the game from Snail games. They are a breath of fresh air in comparison. Give it a try for the ten day free period and see what you think.

Yes VCO - free game, without monthly payment.
But in long term u will pay much more than 10$ a month for the same fun.
+ last update (middle of December 2007) where most of quests and promotion can be done only by MONEY. Average payment for 1 product there - 30$! No free part! How it's calling?? U r forced to buy Item Mall stuff to continue your game....

Probably will be some quests that u have to pay to go on, but u could also stop ureself there.... i never payed anything, i had a lot of amusing months and a lot of new freinds.
My guild was one of the best, (we were travelling from the 2nd to the 4th guild place) and we were going to conquer a city.
Unfortunally pc problems and some hard weeks of work, get me out of the game.
Probably u will have to pay when u will become a great pirate, but..... wich is the problem?!?!?!

If u wanna go on and u are a game's bulimic, u can pay, otherwise, i think u can stop u're VCO's adventure and go elsewhere.

I'm pleased for you if you keep your spending to a limit. You do however at the same time limit your access to the game and therefore your potential fun. There are players that have spent more than your stated amount in one month to keep up with wealthier players.
BBO has many players coming over from VCO at the moment and relaise the difference between the two. I would suggest you do the same as $15 a month is only average and gives you access to all the game without the player imbalance!
VCO is starting to slip on the hype-meter as well!

I pay for a consolle, for games (pc/consolle) that will be always mine, or if i want i could re-sell, not something i can't touch and control; something that, if there will be no more players on_line, i couldn't play more, or... something that, after months of skills upgrade paying 1 or 5 or 15 or other $ every month, could loose all my profiles cause of an hackerization, or fire in the hosting house, or something..... This also could happen...... What u pay, for fried air? I don't like it

Sorry if that's a shock to you... but the brutal truth is that there are very few (I personally can't think of any) games that are run by non-profit companies. You think their server costs, etc. are paid for with fairy dust and good intentions?

Yes, there is always a scam somewhere. I just like to have it all upfront so I know the true cost is overall. Nothing is life is free, even the air we breath is polluted and will kill you eventually.

Ive quit VCO ,after spending 200 $ a month ago,and that was the dumbest money ive spent in my life..
Ive switched to Bounty Bay Online,its the same game-Voyage Century,just run by german company,and they are fantastic bunch , unlike the idiots from IGG,here i pay 15 $ a month,but no item mall crap to destroy the game,here is all what u earn yourself helps your char grow,not pay 100 $, start xp book and booom in 1 week u have lvled your skill to max like everyone does in VCO,
So ppl,NEVER NEVER NEVER play VCO,but immediatly chose BBO,its a fantastic game,and most of all FAIR!!!!!!

I played VCO for about 2 months before I got bored and quit. I'm glad I didn't stay any longer. I don't like MMOs run by Chinese or South Korean companies because I see them as nothing more than fronts for companies that make money by havesting gold and selling it online to stupid people for real money. I also wouldn't be surprised if some of these folks work directly for the game developers.

Playing games is a hobby just like any other hobby. When you are adult and have a job 15$ isn't much for a good game! It's less what smoking costs or drinking every weekend or even phone bill.

It's only a point of view of mine, cause i dunno if next month i'll have time to play, or the next after and so on.... so, i could spend 15$ and then play only 2 day in the month....... and also i love to change frequently the games i play..... so, for me 15$ a month is really crazy... has no sense.
Then..... i surely prefere to go out with friends, or better, with a girl to drink (or to do better things) and spend much, but having other kinds of fun.... then... when i will return at home i will play enjoying myself, but not paying for it!!!!

Just want to add "PLAY BBO INSTEAD" run by a totally different company that has miles better ethics than the VCO company. If you thought VCO was hell, then BBO well be your heaven!
