I currently play Pirates of the Burning Seas. Amongst the many guilds that have descended on my server (Rackham) is a group calling itself Mortis Consortium, who claim having been famous on Naritus en in SWG in general. So color me curious... can anyone share some insights on this group?

MC was a large guild on Naritus at the start of the game. They are a group of players that "do" all the new MMO's and try to dominate the server they are on. In SWG on Naritus they had the first guild hall and thus were the first guild in game. They all worship "Lord Mortis" and RP around that central theme.
They had one of the early stocked weapon vendors on the server and if you tried to purchase from that vendor you had to "kneel before Lord Mortis" to be allowed to purchase from the vendor. They attempt to dominate all parts of a game including the forums, crafting, PvP and so on.
They are a very dedicated group of people who do well in game, but they tend to rub the bulk of the server the wrong way due to the way they play and post on the forums.
Hmm... sounds kinda familiar right there...

By the time I actually started playing on Naritus yonks ago they'd already moved on and the game was barely a year old then. They seem to bore quickly.

They (MC) like to say that it takes five players to take one of them down and claim to not use exploits.
When fighting the MC, do not engage them when they are formed up for a raid or attack. Rather, ignore them or let them pass. Then when the raid or attack is over, organize a raid on their stragglers or put them on the defensive whenever possible. They do not fight well when on the defensive and will in turn use exploits to win. (Be prepared to observe such exploits and provide the report if such events occur).
I was part of the Watchmen (Rebels), and we made several raids into their city and patrols of sniping their members.
Heh, I remember of a time when there were five of us looking for a fight. We sat up an ambush by blending in with Rebel NPC's at a Rebel Base. Up came two of them with AT-ST's to attack the Base to "farm faction." Well, they went down fast and got to see their walkers go down. No casualties for us. Those two MC'ers were decent people though, they did congratulate us on our ambush.

Conservatives' pessimism is conducive to their happiness in three ways. First, they are rarely surprised -- they are right more often than not about the course of events. Second, when they are wrong they are happy to be so. Third, because pessimistic conservatives put not their faith in princes -- government -- they accept that happiness is a function of fending for oneself. They believe that happiness is an activity -- it is inseparable from the pursuit of happiness.
Arrr... I forgot to add in this.
Go to www.naritus.org and ask around, you may get some additional information as there are old salts still talking of the good'o'days.

Thanks, Dracus!
We (Spain) had our first formal engagement with them this night in a port battle (24x24 slugfest to protect a port). We won, which rather surprised us, as the British outnumber the Spanish on our server. There were only 15 of them, 11 or 12 of whom MC. All MC in the best ships money can currently buy, but obviously that wasn't enough. Yay Spain!

Excellent!
I forgot that PotBS has max limits for some of the fights, I'm use to unlimited fights with them...
Great news though, broke the myth and their moral!
