For those who didn't get their CE codes from Gamestop, there is still hope!

Folks,
Just so you know, we'll be talking to Gamestop this week (again). Everyone who buys the CE is entitled to everything we said you'd get. If their employees have made a mistake and given out the CE keys to the wrong people, we'll work with them to get it right.
And yes, 60K CEs means 60K codes, period.
On the bright side, at least with the delay we have extra time to straighten this all out!

How do I get in touch with this Mark guy?
Gamestop says that not every CE pre-order customer was entitled to the codes, even though that is what EA Mythic has said all along. Gamestop straight up said that EA Mythic e-mailed the codes out, not Gamestop. So someone is not telling the truth.
I want to speak to Mark personally, or at least someone in his office, because Gamestop completely screwed this up. IMHO, if Gamestop had enough codes, but employees gave them to those who didn't deserve them, than they should be held criminally (not just civilly) liable -- as in "possession of stolen property."
Honestly, for $32 I can file a small claims suit for $90 against Gamestop. I have all sorts of evidence of malfeasance against them. Nice way to double my money for a few minutes of work. And, if enough people out there have had similar issues -- class action baby!!!
But, serious though, I would like to deal with Mark (or his staff) to at least get things rectified in someway, because Gamestop says it is Mythic's fault that I didn't get into the Head Start. (Though it is Gamestop's fault that they refuse to replace an order lost in transit -- claiming there are no more CE's to ship and that I have to wait 21 days even if they did).
This sort of thing has happened before.
There is pretty good anecdotal evidence that at least some Gamestop employees are thieves.
Developers / publishers / distributers - take note.
There is a way around this - make your key codes traceable. Also, make it clear to retailers that "Pre-Order Packs" are in fact a product in their own right. I suggest a rename to "Pre-Release BONUS pack." to make it clear that this is an additional item and includes bonuses.
Also make it clear to retailers that Pre-Order Packs with a consumed key cannot be returned for a credit.

Basically, Mythic will have to provide an additional CE code for anyone who claims they never got one and can provide proof of purchase.
What that means though is that there are people with accounts who have all the CE bonuses who never purchased the CE. They are thieves. Only according to the law they are not - because the CE Key is only a 'bonus promotional item' and as such it has no value and therefor cannot be stolen.
Gamestop employees clearly know this - which is why they take the keys for themselves / friends / family.
As I say - this has happened before and Gamestop's name always seems to come up.

Funny thing is when I went in my gamestop today to buy the game, the store's manager mentioned that they had a collector's edition just sitting there. I asked him "What's the point?" And he said "You basically just get a bunch of in-game items that you will eventually out level anyhow" So then I asked "How much more is it?" "$30 bucks"
"...I'll take the normal one..."
Seriously what's the appeal of the CE, or at least the bonuses that are worth an extra $30 bucks? It's bad enough that I found out I was forced to subscribe for at least a month to play.
Uhh the in game items you get YOu can't Out Level ... the guy either flat out lied or doesnt know what he's talking about.
The In Game Items are 2 special quests(which are Tome Unlock quests), 2 Special Heads and a limited use item ... You can't Out level the heads and the items you get for the Quests are Trophy like items that don't really do much other than look cool. Since I don't use duel wielding weapons I'll be enjoying my dwarf head that I can swing around and throw on the end of my weapon while fighting. It doesn't do anything but its cool as hell.
The items are customization that people keep bitching about...funny all the people bitching have no idea what they're talking about.
IF they are still talking about the pre-order codes, well I can speak from personal experience that it was Gamestop/EB that sent the codes out, well at least in my case. Also, I can easily see how this problem w/ the codes going to the wrong places could have went down.
When I went into the brick & mortar EB in my local mall and pre-ordered my CE the employees, one of which was the store manager, had absolutely no clue about the pre-order codes and had never heard of the cards. He even went as far as to check the computer to see if they were ever getting any from the Gamestop/EB warehouses, and came up blank. So, I e-mailed Gamestop/EB customer service and told them the situation, gave them the numbers off of my reciept, and withing 24 hours they mailed me all of the pre-order codes that were associated w/ a CE.
Now, I have absolutely no doubt that someone could have e-mailed customer service just like I did, except not provide the actual recipet numbers, and they probably still would have been mailed some codes. It's obvious Gamestop/EB customer service had some codes in their system, as I'm sure the CS-rep I got in touch with didn't go and find the pre-order card, take the numbers off of it, and rip the card up. You dig?
What I'm saying is that I can very easily see employees in the retail partner stores (Gamestop/EB, Wal-mart, Best Buy, wherever else people were able to get pre-order codes), online stores, and customer service for all of the sellers giving out codes to people who didn't deserve them. And that is what caused duplicate codes, and/or Mythic to issue more codes to cover their customers who didn't get the codes they were entitled to. Which, in turn is what caused the whole grace-period fiasco.
So you have no problem if I rip you off? You would "take a break" if I did that? Awesome. I have this great new MMORPG out. Please send me $90 via PayPal and I will send you already used codes, plus the game via overnight delivery, only I won't use overnight delivery, but media mail.
You're not a serious person and that probably is why you get taken advantage of all the time.
