What career archtype do you think you'll go for as your main character?

in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

Premature, maybe - but i'm sure we've all read the career descriptions and know what kinda of class we want to play and what side we want to play on.

Plus, i just love a poll! :D

    Your terms for the classes are a bit broad in definition...I'll have to think on what best fits the couple of classes im looking forward too *rubs chin*

    Sadly there aint any descriptions of the Black Guard yet. But I voted a Destruction Tank anyways. Becouse my guess is that they will work kinda like the Brute in City of Villains, and I Loved to play a Brute. ^^

    There is two archclass I enjoy playing,  Ranged DPS and Healer. Warhammer is designed so that healer classes will be doing damage and healing at the same time, Hah.  That is superb. Beside every party need either a tank or a healer.

    Im thinking i wanna go squig herder. The idea of controlling beasts with huge teeth and having them rip someone to shreds is appealing :P

    problem is not all the classes fit into y our poll.

     

    like my favorite class is the Deciple of Khaine. he is a ninja/healer not a buffer/healer.

    How about the chosen, he is a debuffer/tank. what about the knight he is a buffer/tank? how about the warrior priest, he is a front line melee hybrid with healing and light buffs.

    or what about the shaman who is a debuffer/nuker/buffer/healer!?!?

    Strolling through Games Workshop blisters one day in a RPG (pen and paper) tabletop game club, I fell totally in love with a chaos warrior (there were 2 more with him) - now in WAR they are called Chosen - so let it be: I'll be a Chosen - Chaos Tank -  warmonger.

    I agree with Wolfhaart. I plan on being a Blackguard and since there aren't any dark elf "tanks" yet I'm going to assume that it will be the tank. So I picked Destruction tank.

    this kind of poll has been here way to many times allready!! :)  and think im gonna be destruction tank ( think it will be blackguard, depending on how they play) or Black Orc.  if one of these (or both) aint fun tank classes, ill roll disciple of Kain, or a Zealot ( healer, primary) since i like the idea of a healer class that can cover their own back :D

    As it seems now I will pretty much "have to" pick Destruction due to lack of interesting classes for orders. My vote goes to Destruction Healer/Buffer as it's closest to that of a "hybrid" class which is what I'm aiming for.

    I think the War priest, Shadow warrior, and Witch hunter are cool but I agree Destruction takes the cake for more interesting classes.

    it looks like im gonna have to play order just due to the lack of people willing to play order lol destruction is gonna get to competitive to become the best lol

    I have always been a big fan of Chaplins and Librarians in the 40k universe so a Warrior-Priest is a perfect fit for me.

    MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit.

    Desto (Destruction) might offer more variating "professions" but Ordo (order) sure take the "bad-ass" badge to me.

    Hammerer screams IN UR FACE. Witch Hunters looks like pimps, Bright Wizards goes all, UR TOAST and Shadow Warriors just looks like sneaky bastards in general

    I like my magic classes so I will be torn between:

     

    Sorceress, Archmage, Magus and Bright Wizard

     

    If I like the damage healing style Archmage otherwise sorceress sounds good since they have a stealth like invis I read.

    I'm going to play order, but I'm not sure which class. I'll have to play some of them to see if I like them. For example, the Knight of the Blazing Sun looks interesting, but I'm not sure how it will play.

    Another interesting class is the Dwarf Engineer. It's ranged, but medium range. Again, it may be a lot of fun, or it may not. It's really hard to tell without taking it for a test spin.

    And, there's a high elf class that's still missing. Perhaps that will be intriguing, we'll just have to wait and see.

    The other consideration is the balance between range and melee. It's tricky. If it's off even a bit, then range is where it's at, because they can kill you before you close adn even get in a shot. So, I'll try the ranged and melee characters, and see how the balance is before going with a main.

    The other consideration is I like to start pick up groups, so whatever class is good for that. Usually healer is a good one, but that may not be the case with WAR, it might be a tank.

    I definatly think im going to play a Shadow Warrior for order and Squig herder for Destruction. Shadow warrior main because of the seemingly low enrollment for order and the fact that he seems like a jack-of-all-trades (which could be a good or bad thing). Definatly looking forward to more on that class

    Probably Warrior Priest for Order.  I liked playing a cleric in DAOC (before Smite nerf).  It seems they will have both Off and Def abilities.

    Disciple of Khaine for Destruction if they play anything like DISC in V:SOH.

    I also love the Shaman archetype, but  won't be in WAR since I can't bring myself to play a Gobbie.
