Blizzard said that there new mmo is not going to be based off any of there existing games or franchises, but is going to be completely new, so i d ont think either of those c hoices will be there next mmo release, but if they were going to make an mmo based on either of those 2 i would hope for starcraft.

I hadn't heard that response, only that it was going to be a next gen MMO. I don't believe they gave any specifics. If you have a link to your information I'd love to read it if you could link it here.
From what Blizzard Activision has said, it will apparently be a new IP.

Something tells me since Blizzard has the fantasy side wrapped up that they are going with something new and innovative with a set audience that won't drag away numbers from WoW.
My guess is because of Activision and the ties it has, they will come up with the first Skateboard MMO. Makes sense, but it is only a guess I have no information to back that up. In the end we will have to see what they come up with.
Your second poll isn't exactly fair. I don't really care what the new MMO is to be honest, as I'm totally occupied at the mo, but I don't think WoW sucks.
I wouldnt want a sport mmo either....

It's more of a "I don't care" vs. "I can't wait" poll, the part about WoW sucking is just add-on, like Snakes, Cockroaches, and Kittens. It's just for sh--s and giggles

Activision has so many titles to choose from, it's anybody's guess what it will be.

even tho i think that almost everyone will disagree with me here, but id love to see a full out diablo mmo universe. the current one is online but it has the acts and its more of a singleplayer/mmo kinda, hard to explain. but imo, itd be awesome to see a wow'ish diablo game, but it has to be dark, gloomy, and gritty.
I don't think the game will be a new IP, but a Starcraft MMOFPS or MMORTS.
I don't think Blizzard has declared specifically that they won't be using an existing IP for the new MMO, but rather that they wan to work on something new and innovative and not just WoW 2.

...and for trolls to use the poll as "x% says WoW sucks!" arguments. If you actually think of the options as "I don't care" and "I can't wait", just write that. Gives the poll a more neutral feel and more credibility. :-)

There is .. Starcraft Ghost .. but it is shelved. So Blizzard already have some experience with a Starcraft 3rd person game.
I am seriously hoping that it will be a starcraft MMO.
Maybe it will be based on Interstate '76.

You forgot the neither option because it won't be either of those titles. Blizzard has already indicated it is not part of an existing title. We will probably find out next year.
