LF a skill-based MMO

I'm looking for an MMO thats skill based, not class based.  When you start the game, you don't pick a class but instead you have a wide set of skills that you can improve on.... ex. Runescape and Entropia Universe are skill based, WoW and Guild Wars is class based.

I also prefer Sci-Fi but I'll play anything... I also love crafting

If someone gets me hooked on something, you get my old WoW!

    Have you considered EVE?

    Or possibly Ryzom since I believe it is coming back (The Saga of Ryzom).

    There are forums on both games at this site and they might be more your thing.

    Word on the street is Saga of Ryzom is being re opened!

    Its a sci-fi/fantasy skill based MMO. Ive been reading so much about it and cant wait to give it a shot!

    well, i dont believe there are many (if any) good skill based games out there right now. darkfall is SUPPOSED to release this year, but the developers say that a lot lol. you could check out the emulator of a certain sci-fi game, there are also emulators for a certain fantasy game made in the 90s that looks kinda like runescape but is actually quite fun when playing the old version of it not the new, screwed up, version.

     

    but why would you do that? emulators are against an EULA and you wouldnt want to get banned from those god awful companies that completely screwed over their games reducing subs to a mere fraction of what they once were

    yeah saga of ryzom is what you're looking for, not sure when its reopening tho, soon from what i read

    haha you got darkfalled by the video too :D , yea well dont know if there is a game like darkfall features out yet, thats why darkfall is so wanted, there is another interesting game in dev  "mortal online" if you take time to read the features you will like it very interesting, will be out in a year or 2.

    you could try star wars galaxy, maybe not exactly what you are looking for, but fromp your post i think you will like it, and will help you wait darkfall.
