What is the best reason to have irl female people in your guild?

After leading many guilds in many games I have to say it's important to have women in the guild. There are a lot of pros for having women in the guild, but of course there are also cons. Usually I would say in the hardcore guilds i lead / been in the % of women has been around perhaps 5-10%. Although women usually cause more drama overall than male players, not always, but overall. And seen many cases in other guilds and heard from friends how one woman managed to brake up a guild by drama and the like, but think this comes overall from women beeing a bit diffrent online compare to irl.

And then there is an issue often whith multiple females in same guild, there often arises a situation of where they compete for the most attention and the like. But guys do that too, but the consequenses are usually more noticable when it comes to women. Just need to be picky with who you recruit. But if you want a solid guild, you need women. End of story.

Marriage can not be over hyped.  The "living together" mindset is both self defeatist and an admission that the union is a farce that will not last.

The reason the divorce rate is so high is because people have no idea what genuine love is, instead forming unions on worthless foundations. Those things are not exclusive to marriages- if anything the ceremony and status makes the union tighter.

But it can only do so much.

Damn...for once I totally agree with you Gaz.     To be honest my 2 best friends are married and married happily but they were together for years building a rock solid foundation.   I'm kinda jealous lol.

One girl is great, but as soon as you get two, they fight.

To be honest there are so few worthwhile female gamers out there that it's always better to just screen for whether or not people know what they are doing before even inviting them, regardless of gender.  I have honestly never come across a girl who was good at Call of Duty (several thousand games played, if there were any girls there that were decent, they didn't use their mics, which I find somewhat odd since most female players seem to be HUGE attention whores)

In all my time gaming, there have only been three women that I have known that were passable at what they did, and that was in WoW, two priests and one warlock, that's it.

I'm not saying that they CAN'T do it...just that very few of them bother to even try.

It's coo to have ladies in the guild. It's not like you "need" them, but I rather be in a guild mixed with diversity and gender rather than boring. Now when it comes to the saussages flocking around, well that don't really happen in the guild I'm in, but  I don't do that stuff. A few girls usually flock on me though. I am broke in every online game lol and I always have a sugar momma, but don't take advantage of them. I really don't give any no kind of special treatment. It's not like when I first pop in a game the first one that comes to my rescue to help me is a chick, so you know.

We don't get no guy/female drama. They tease and it's all good, but some guys are just too pu**y-whipped and that's when it becomes a problem. That if this one left the game for another, 5 saussages leave right after her.

I read through quite a few pages, and I notice not one person allowed that the female in the guild might actually -gasp- be good at what she does -- PvP, raiding, what have you.

Get over yourselves. This is the reason those of us who don't want the drama/attention are hesitant to get on vent or reveal our sex. Ever consider you guys are part of the cause of the drama?

Get over yourself, most women are attention whores on the internet...And it has been m extensive experience that women don't tend to be very good at video games regardless of whether it's an MMORPG like WoW or an FPS like Call of Duty.  That's not sexism, that's what I've observed.

Or, the ones who aren't just looking for attention never let you know they're female. Newsflash. Not all girls want freebies or a raid spot/PvP spot (PvP's more difficult simply because vent/TS is so necessary) just because they're girls. (Or, you know, all the tells asking to be someone's e-girlfriend, either). Drama isn't a one-way street.

So true. Dont know why people even start these kind of discussions. The games are MMOs for a reason, there will always be real girls on these kind of games. There are like 10 or so on my iRO guild and we dont have any of the drama or other things some people are talking in this discussion.

Instead of that I get time with a friend to kill monsters and gain some xp. Besides, having different people makes a guild more fun. Makes it a more comfortable guild to be.

In a medium almost entirely dominated by little boys / guys / men... I get sick of hearing the voice of 'one mind' all of the time. Women think differently, this has been proven countless times over the ages. Men are much like the Zerg, only have 3 or so thoughts to call their own. Most can not hold a deep thought provoking conversation for more than 2.5 minutes! Women bring the intrigue to the realm. They have their own way about getting things done and what to say when something goes wrong or right. I actually prefer to have more women around.

Now girls is a whole different subject. The younger a female is, the less intelligent they seem to be. I generally will only accept women that are 18+ into any guild I run. Before that, they are clueless. But the same can be said about guys. As I mainly run a mature guild environment, I do tend to look for an age factor. However, just because you only accept adults, doesn't mean they are all going to act their age. As I've said for years now, age does not dictate intelligence or knowledge... And especially wisdom.

I think that is what having a blend of men and women do for a team... No one gets blamed for being stupid, as everyone is of or about the same age. You have no excuse for being ignorant. Also, hearing the softer, cuter and often times more sexy voice of the feminine gender sure lightens the mood allot easier, rather than a argumentive burly voice of some guy.

Now this, I heartily agree with. I'm not sure how/why my parents managed to let me survive those first few years of puberty, lol.

Im a female and I run a great guild called Wicked Red.  Any male or female can be childish or be a bad leader or guild mate. It doesnt matter your gender or age. I had some younger peps in my guild that were more murture then some of the older ones. It all depends on what kind of person you let in your guild. All ppl are differant. Yall need to grow up on this gender and age situation. The ones talking shit about it seems like the inmuture peps to me but I dnt know Im just a female right?

On the comment about girls on the e-net being whores. Well, I know for sure Male and Females both genders can be and are whores on or off the e-net.  On the other hand theres alot of decent females and males playing or browsing the net.
