The graphics are downright awful!
I feel like if I'm playing a bad copy of World of Warcraft, and everyone knows that WoW has horrible GFX. I hope the GFX isn't like this at releases, I'm expecting candy and rainbows glowing across my montior with flawless GFX or this will sucks.

something interesting JUST DID happen... you hear the chime when one side or the other moves the RvR scale.
all the sounds have meaning

I'm not sure you've seen the recent graphics if you think they are worse then WoW.

WoW graphics are underrated, WAR graphics are better than WoW's. They are also better than EQ2 and Vanguard. They arent' as good as AOC though.
Looks very similar to LOTRO's graphics which I currently play. I played WoW for 3 years and the graphics style was quite on purpose. They wanted to stick to the look and feel of Warcraft 3.

OP, I had this same problem but when I turned up my settings on my graphics card, they got much better. If you have a Nvidia card, go to your Nvidia control panel and selected "Advanced." Put Quality over Performance and make sure AA and AF are on.
If you want great graphics, I recommend you AoC. And if you want amazing enviroment (just the environment) graphics, DnL may be a choice too (LOL).
You're not going to get Crysis graphics in an MMO ffs, any MMO that boasts brilliant graphics will fail.
I also like WoW's graphics, they're perfect for that MMO and work pretty damn well - it's the gameplay that's poor, and it's the gameplay that keeps people playing.

I'd have more sympathy for the OP if it hadn't been stated in multiple threads, and in every thread regarding graphic quality regarding this beta, that the graphics are set to med/low on purpose. It has also been stated elsewhere that you can use your vid card settings to turn on AA and AF. He wasn't asking for help, he was making another troll post without making any effort himself to remedy or understand the situation.
You're a good guy for repeating this info once more though.

Are you suggesting that millions of people shouldn't be playing WoW?
The trees and the char look nice, but why do the ground textures look like 4 year old games?
No, that's just a lot of PvE fans, and a lot more playing just because there's nothing else good that's on offer... yet.

Hey, I didn't know that! Will give it a try. I didn't mind much of the gfx (not great, mind you), but I was playing chosen today and thought everything was looking pretty bad. I did hear, however, that, in the beta, the gfx were toned down.
I will try this tomorrow.

its low setting for open beta so all u can do is manually goto ur video card and turn on FAA.
