Well I just regist but it'll take some time before I can start on the game client's torrent after I get home from work maybe. I got some other pending torrents to attend to. Checking out the newb and guides' sections at the off. forums in the other tab so hopefully I'll be able to play and try things out soon.

Well defined post , whomever spoke of a.d.d understand this.
A person can only attach themselves to the character if they like the style or lore of the character.
It'd be like tossing me in a game with 50 choices of elf but thats it.
I would not play no matter how deep the story is.
Ok so you found Ry, Congrats. I did too 4 years ago.
I played Ry for a solid year, this feeling of euphoria will wear on you soon. I'll stake money on it.
Ry is a really good game, really good. If you can get past the ugly avatars (if you find them ugly) it's a deep game. It's also a "WTF" kind of buggy game.
Ever fallen through the world and waited 3 weeks for a CS guy to simply move you?

Ever been unable to attack the mob that munching your face due to skills not launching? (most of us have in mmo's generally lag, however not in the case f Ry! Oh no this will be due to stanza's habit of randomly reorganizing themselves GOOD TIMES)
Now if you can get past some glaring issues with Ryzom I can promise you will play for atleast a month before getting bored, more so if you like the game alot.
I am going to pick it up again myself simply because there is nothing left to play may as well backtrack?
It's just not as perfect as some make it sound, good game. Quite a few issues, less than SWG but that's not saying much! -had to insert swg somewhere in a thread here today-

the only thing thats keeping me from downloading the game is the 7gigs of file size. im currently in a country where dial up modems are still being sold and if you ask for T1, the isp's would reply "whats that? terminator one?"
